The spoilers just whet my appetite; I know damn well I'm going to finish this out, even if it sounds like a ten car pile-up on paper. Star Trek is one of the few IPs I'll still wreck my sleep schedule for. XD

S1 opened with Data and Picard playing poker so I guess it's kind of fitting it end with a game again. All Good Things ended with a poker game too. So it's kind of a TNG staple.

It's implied Picard and Beverly are together at the end. Laris is not mentioned. There's a one year later at the end. Q tells Jack that the trial ended for his father but is just beginning for him...and I don't know if this is real or not but apparently Checkov's voice is in it as the federation president sending a distress signal. Story wise kinda over the top predictable and without taking any risks. This is a bummer…
