The problem is who can they trust to keep him in custody....Did Worf or Raffi execute Krinn after they got the information out of him? Is he in the La Sirena's equivalent of the brig awaiting spacing. He seems far too dangerous an individual to leave free.
Just a guess, but I think Moriarty is a red herring. Yes, he'll appear and make some point relevant to an episode, but he won't be a major plot point for the larger story. Him being the Daystrom security AI makes sense. There are 5 episodes, but still the ending is always at risk of including a crying child that destroys space travel and the galactic economy. I am anxious about the spoilers too. Why did they spoil it when it could have been a surprise? They basically sacrificed the element of surprise and fan elation for marketing. Lore and Geordi may have been hard to hide, but Moriarty did not need to be spoiled at all.
They programmed it for something specific. It wasn't a normal use of tricorder. The tricorder still needed to read the DNA sequence in order to be a possible fit w/ the program. So if that tricorder could read a sequence I can't see why any other tricorder couldn't as well.
Obviously. But IMO this was over the top ridiculous. The mileage of others clearly varies.Even adults can be childish.
I will agree to disagree. I think reading a DNA sequence would be a simple matter for even a TOS era tricorder. They programmed it for something specific. It wasn't a normal use of tricorder.
At this point we might have to explain all the errors about DS9 changelings in dialogue as being spoken by Crusher (who's been away from Starfleet for 20 years) and other officers who haven't had reason to think about changelings for decades since the end of the Dominion War.I will agree to disagree. I think reading a DNA sequence would be a simple matter for even a TOS era tricorder.
Exactly. I had no problems with Krinn because if Sybok could go off and start a cult based on the acceptance of emotion and even violence in the service of those passions, we could have a Vulcan warlord/gangster scenario without stretching anything.

Thank you!You can believe that if you want.
Well, wishful thinking!I like that... I like that a lot.
I still think she is dead.
I vote 10 I t was so nice to seeThis was a really great episode of trust no one in Star fleet Beverly warned Picard about. And Jack finally telling his mom about his strange visions and sensing changelings .I'm glad he told her .Ro Laren again that w as a big suprise I wasn't expecting it was nice to see her return again
All events that only the TNG crew experienced would have been logged. Nobody would know about First Contact without there being a detailed report. Same with the alternative futures. I think it is believable that Shaw is a little obsessed with Picard and read all of that stuff. To say nothing of the fact that he knows things he shouldn't... since the events in the Devron system that he described didn't actually happen beyond the POV of Picard and us the viewers, iirc... BAD TERRY, BAD!!
(TBH I love Shaw so much I can even forgive such a painfully obvious error lol)
