Did anyone else notice that the alien ship from the first two episodes looks suspiciously similar to the 'Agonizer' from Mirror, Mirror?

And Boimler does have a Mirror Archer figurine. I wonder now...

Yeah I think it was the red-tinged goggles from TOS.

Glad I wasn't the only one who saw it. :)

Looks like a whale to me, with their throat furrows. Since the big whale probe is in the intro now, I think this is a new whale shuttle and Kimolu & Matt will save the day :D

I swear I've seen that ship design before. And no, not as the agonizer.
What I wanna know is how the hell did boimler get a mirror archer doll. That came out of left field and wasn’t expecting that
My idle speculation earlier on...
I mean, Quark went to the MU for business opportunities. Merchandising seems on point.

Hello TrekBBS friends, I am back once again with my annual question about every episode of Lower Decks:

My daughter, who is now ten, really loves LD and loves to watch it with us on Friday nights. The only episode she has missed is "Where Pleasant Fountains Lie" due to the high level of sexual content, and I like to check in with the BBS before each episode to make sure there's nothing too bad for a 10YO in each week's ep.

Can anyone tell me if there is anything too objectionable (meaning too violent or sexual) in this week's ep? No need to spoil, just let me know if it would make me a bad parent to watch this ep with her!

Thanks so much.

I found this one to be a really fun episode. I enjoyed Mariner and Ransom's interactions. And I love cute aliens that turn out to be vicious monsters. I would have gone right over to pet it and had my bones sucked out immediately. I was also happy Rutherford got promoted.

A very solid episode. I like how its changed the status quo a bit, but not in a way that changes the core concept of the show very much. I loved Boimler's troubles with his room, although I think that the holodecks would have much better soundproofing.

I would think they would, but for comedy purposes I loved it. It was the classic college dorm/first apartment/shitty motel room-on-a- road-trip experience.

That was fun, maybe not as good as the opening episode but still very enjoyable.

Glad Rutherford got a promotion, love that he'd turned down loads of previous offers of promotion to stick with the others!

My money is still on Badgey for the mysterious attacker (obviously in cahoots with someone else)
