Ah, the Voyager dummies, gotcha. I guess store dummies rarely have faces, so I took it to be like that.
I wasn't talking about the mannequins either. I was talking about Boim's action figures, and pictures of Neelix, Tuvok and Tuvix on computer screens in Episode 1.

The Una poster also showed up in this episode, but the only time we see the full version, Una's face is covered by Boimler's laundry.

The "Livik" is an extended homage to Neuman and Jerry's rivalry.
Eh, I just viewed that as the generic personal rivalry trope. Yes, Jerry and Newman is another example of that trope but there are many others throughout fiction in general. Indeed, every scene with Livik in this episode made me think of Professor Farnsworth and Dr. Wernstrom on Futurama.

another great episode.

I loved how conspiratorial the Romulan Lower Deckers were. And I loved that they used the Warbird concept.

I’m gonna kinda miss them all having the hallway bunks but it should be a nice change for the shows dynamic.

Tendi’s first official order to a subordinate was perfect.

And Moopsie totally rules.

A bit too meta. Mirror Archer and the Romulans are a bit tooo on the nose, but eh. What was most grating was paranoid mariner again but not like, it's not a bad or even meh episode. Moopsy is fun. The mystery continues.

Uhhhh so Meangeries are basically now just free-floating zoos?

Boimler living next to the bussard collector is hilarious, since I was a kid I thought it must suck for the poor sods living there. Then, 2009 Star Trek explicitly gave me the answer as to how people cope. And Boimler was an idiot who didn't know "polarise the viewscreen" was an option:lol:

I assume some aliens who love red light had the quarters previously.

Checks out with Boimler.

This was a lot of fun. A few things:

1. This was a great little Seinfeld tribute in a weird way it seemed. From the glaring red light in Boimler’s quarters being like Kramer fighting against Kenny Rogers Roasters to Rutherford expressing dislike for his nemesis like Jerry would with Newman, using that snear while saying his name with a compressed fist. Great stuff.

2. Moopsie is my favorite of the “ridiculous Lower Decks antagonists.” Beats the hell out of Badgey and Peanut Hamper and those idiotic types of characters.

3. Ransom actually comes off really good here. Mariner is such an ass though.

4. This weird new “super-threat” is interesting. I like how the Romulans were portrayed here. Pretty funny. Too bad they were obliterated.

5. Ensign Gary. Perfect.

8/10

About time we had a Vertical starship! :rommie:

I'd have thought the void alien ships from VOY: "Night" counted:

And also Spock's Jellyfish could orient itself vertically.

May I draw everyone’s attention to Captain Moe’s post in the General Trek forum? Come discuss this episode on Zoom today/tonight. :bolian::cardie::rommie::klingon::vulcan::borg:

P.S. I thought the Denobulan ship from ENT also had a slightly vertical configuration.
