The torpedo blasts seen here were actually less impressive than the ones in TNG or DS9 orbital bombardment scenes (in terms of blast radius and propagation speed), although perhaps also a bit more three-dimensional.

Is Harlak the place where folks called the Halkans live? Somebody besides the rebels was living down there at any rate, in high-rise buildings...

Nah, the Halkan homeworld needs to survive so Mirror Kirk can be ordered to destroy it.

    Harlak is a new planet.

And those buildings appeared to be destroyed.

No picture, too dark or not seeing the shape of a Connie hull?

Yes -- I got the distinct feeling that the conversations she had with the rebels on MU Harlak will somehow connect with a way to end the Klingon/Federation war back in the Prime Universe. And Tyler will play a part in it as well.

Seems the palace ship is way too big for that horizontal bit to be the saucer of the Defiant. OTOH, the horizontal bit doesn't appear curved to me...

I thought it might be too big but I'm seen the Connie hull in there.

I loved this one--pretty much a 10/10 for me. I love the way Burnham is working around the Mirror Universe while also trying to avoid being changed by it. Loved her solution for how to "execute" Ash and also get the info to the Discovery.

I also loved Ash realizing he's Voq and how that played out. I expected more confusion from him but once he remembered, he was committed to the cause and wasn't wavering at all. I wonder if going forward he's going to be conflicted because of his feelings for Michael. I also wonder how much of Ash is there in him--if who Ash is/was(?) is going to have any affect on Voq going forward.

Georgieu as Emperor may have been what we were all expecting, but it was still a cool reveal, and I'm excited to see how it plays out in the next episode.

Well, it’s always fun to watch a prisoner writhe and scream in agony (at least until the vomiting starts), but Lorca is actually in the booth. ;)

I have absolutely zero expectations of seeing the Defiant. I'll be pleasantly surprised if I'm wrong...but I don't see it happening.

Did I miss something or how did the Discovery know there is something to teleport and why did they put Tyler in jail ?

Presumably, Burnham sent them a message - we saw they were in touch.

Borg or not Borg ENT showed this universe was morally corrupt for its whole history. A 23rd century Picard would not be like the TNG one.

Yeah, the fact that Saru immediately had Ash arrested and confiscated the intel gives a pretty clear indication that Burnham had told him someway about what had happened and her plan for getting them the disk.
