Haha. So cringe. I prefer my Trek parody on The Orville.
Would be cool if the Emperor is still Sato but I doubt that’s the case. It’s probably Georgio.
Also, they’re lucky their ships don’t have the yellow markings anymore.
But wouldn't it be interesting IF Phillipa Georgiou was a descendant of 'Ho'-Shi Sato - and the Emperess in this MU?Mirror Hoshi was in her twenties in the ENT episodes so unless she lived into her 130s like Dr. McCoy I doubt she'd still be alive at this point in history. An absolute ruler of a tyrannical regime where backstabbing and coups are commonplace lasting a century on her throne? Doubtful to say the least.Whomever the Emperor is in 2257 it's not Hoshi Sato.
Given S1 had a $8 million per episode price tag, I doubt that Season 2 was 'automatic' (any more that Season 2 of TNG was 'automatic' - it wasn't they had a plan to tack TNG S1 to the TOS syndication package ii TNG bombed.)
The FACT is ST: D Season 1 did well enough (and brought in enough subscriptions to CBSAA and Netflix) that CBS decidied it should get a second season.

Yes, it's popular, among both existing Star Trek fans - and it's brought in new fans too. You don't seem to be able to handle or acknowledge that fact it seems.
This is Star Trek. You honestly can’t think of a way that prolongs her life? That argument doesn’t have much merit here.Mirror Hoshi was in her twenties in the ENT episodes so unless she lived into her 120s I doubt she'd still be alive at this point in history. But she’s Japanese and Georgiou is Chinese.Georgiou a descandant of Hoshi? Heh.
Now you're nerding.![]()
Well...I have been wacthiching Star trek since 1969 (at age 6) -- plus any other space based sci fi I could catch (IE all the Irwin Allen shows, Space Battleship Yamato, BSG (1978), etc.) - so, um yeah - what's your point again??Georgiou a descandant of Hoshi? Heh.

Could be hate watching it. I’m sort of doing the same thing. If you object so strongly to the show...why keep watching and why post here about it? Seems odd.

In the same way that John Cho (in the JJ-Verse alternate reality) is 'Japanese' too?But she’s Japanese and Georgiou is Chinese.

With a Greek name. Stranger things have happened. But she’s Japanese and Georgiou is Chinese.
This Star Trek comes from the people who created such things as Red Matter and Time Crystals. You honestly don’t think they wouldn’t come up with a life elixir that prolongs life?I'm waiting for the argument with merit that it IS elderly Mirror Hoshi still running things.
It's a fun thought and I'd love to see Linda Park don a Mirror Universe uniform again, but...let's be real, even for a Star Trek topic.
