I didnt say it turned me on its just all other Star Trek series portrayed Terran women one way and this canon ignoring series depicted them differently for no other reason that political correctness. If another reason exists, please enlighten me...

Yes, a show made today portrays people differently than several decades ago....

Really pissed me off too when the women didn't wear skirts on TNG.

What were those aholes thinking?

the sexiest females in Star Trek, unflattering black unisex outfits
That's you right?

Have you considered that not treating women as sexual objects is perhaps a good thing?

Mirror universe episode are usually a rare change of pace from the usual Star trek episodes. Dressing suggestively in 1% of discoverys episodes is hardly a trend of treating women as sex objects. R rated STD was supposed to be more sexy, wasnt it?.

So you want the actresses in DSC to dress sexy for you sometimes. Huh. So you're not perceiving them as objects for your sexual consumption at all, right? Interesting that this is the hill you've chosen to die on.

What's this "human only" claptrap? Did they forget that Spock was serving on the ISS Enterprise?
Every alien world under Empire control has been conquered. Yes, there are aliens serving, but they are akin to slaves or at best second class citizens. (Or did you miss the opening with the Vulcan cruiser full of Vulcan and Andorian rebels was firing on the Discovery.) The people serving are doing so because it's better than working in mines or other dangerous jobs they have aliwens perform.

Yeah like, in a show that's 20 years old....

different portrayals of sexes and genders over decades is normal cultural development

If what happened in old Star trek shows dont matter, why not just have a show called Discovery and make whatever science and storylines you want without pesky canon. Having a /prequel/sequel to such rubbish old shows is so uncool....

Every episode/movie many times, Enterprise at least once each and i love star trek. Canon is important to me.
You must have shit your pants between TOS, TMP and STWOK.
Where's the yellow, red and blue pajamas!
Bring back my miniskirts!
Oh no! Whats with the white, onesie jumpsuit!
Whats with the maroon, military gear and where's the curly wig Kirk!
Uhura get your afro back on!

And as for the Klingon scenes - 'Arrrgh'! Thud....Collapses from shock

'Canon.....canon, canon' (said in the style of 'Rosebud' from Citizen Kane)

anyways, this mirror universe is a bit too exaggerated.

Uniform are good looking, but the captain ones are too garish, I hope we will never saw the MU admiral uniform....
Go rewatch the original TOS "Mirror Mirror" - all officers go around wearing Gold Sashes on their waist and their uniforms have gold highlights. These ST: D uniforms fit right in. (IMO)

While I couldn't care less about the whole uniforms bit, it does seem a bit odd that the Terran Empire, which is totally the opposite of the Federation in regards to the rights of non-humans, democracy, the rule of law, and the place of violence in society, has functionally identical viewpoints on gender relations to the Federation. If everything is supposed to backwards in the Mirror Universe, they should be sexist as all hell as well. Except during the period when TOS took place, when they can be gender egalitarians.
