I'm a TNG dude and I love Discovery. Most of the people who dislike it seem to be TOS dudes.

You have a ship fitted with a top secret cloaking device drifting helpless in space for six months and neither the Klingons nor Starfleet do anything about it?! They simply forget about it and let it float in the battle scene?! Even though it could turn out to be almost as important in the war effort as the Federation’s spore drive?!

Some people like it, some don't. I'm not really seeing any trends that fans of one particular show are hating it more than others.

This is the 1st time in all the years watching the various Treks that I found the Klingons BORING.

Why is their speech so laborious? I always found Klingons to be interesting to listen too but now I can't wait for their scenes to end. Straight from the House of Dull.

Some people like it, some don't. I'm not really seeing any trends that fans of one particular show are hating it more than others.

I think in the case of those who strongly dislike it, the reason seems to boil down to it being different from their preferred version of Trek, whatever particular series that may be.
