There is now.
We could see Kor, Kolloth and Kang.
Ringo the Klingon gets no respect!
He's the funny one.
What would you do if he sang out of key?
A brave move!
Well it's been said by the writers/producers that Kol is of the House of Kor. But then again, we can't trust anything they've said, after the whole "Discovery is the prime timeline" gobbledygook!
My review of Episode 3#
Wow. An STC sighting!! good to have you back. Will there be reviews? cock threads?
None that I've heard...until now. But I'd enjoy seeing an elderly T'Pol make an appearance in DSC as a Vulcan matriarch of sorts who can tie the new series to the previous one and form a historical link between the galaxy before the Federation even existed and the political climate we're watching unfold before our eyes.
Put Jolene Blalock in some convincing old age makeup, slap a greying wig on her head and bring back one of the most popular characters from the last show, not to mention one of the only members of the main cast who could realistically still be alive in this timeframe. With her lifetime of experiences with not only humans but also Klingons as well as other Federation member species she could provide some historical context to the perpetually-disastrous relations between humans and the Empire.
Enough small universe stuff already thankyouplease.
But Jolene. And Vulcan butts.
She would be about 160. That's not even particularly old for a Vulcan. And, yes, I'd like to see her again. In fact, I'd have preferred her to be Michael's mentor. It would have established connection to the existing continuity without this awkward 'Spock's sister' thing. Also, these 'old wise mentor' style character are rarely female in fiction, so it would have been a refreshing change.
That would have been a great and novel idea! I’m guessing that’s exactly why they didn’t go for it. Instead we get the Sarek/Amanda/Spock fanwank.
Jonathan Archer = unlikely, certain sources place his death in 2245, the day after the Enterprise NCC-1701 launched.
Charles "Trip" Tucker = possible, if you latch onto the idea that the holographic program seen in the final episode is actually an RPG, and he's been living on Vulcan since retiring.
T'Pol = possible, she is a Vulcan.
Malcolm Reed = possible, if you believe a source stating he was Commandant of Starfleet Academy in 2251.
Travis Mayweather = possible, if you believe a source stating he was a freighter captain in 2245 transporting between Earth and Tarsus IV.
Hoshi Sato = unlikely, certain sources place her death in 2246 during the Tarsus IV Massacre with her husband.
Phlox = possible, Denobulans appear to be a long-lived race like the Vulcans.
Thy'lek Shran = possible, depends on Andorian lifespans.
Soval = possible, he is a Vulcan.
Shran or Malcom reed would be amazing. I've always had a soft spot for reed. Sato ending that was is a real gut punch though.
Guinin is around.
DAX is an Gymnast boffing McCoy RIGHT NOW-ish!
Young Tomalak (G'Kar!).
An earlier Weyoun clone.
How old is Morn?
Young Boothby, may not look that much younger.
I thought it looked more like a smaller version of the tardigrade. It does have eight legs...
