Right. I have to say I don't remember anything longer than a random exclamation or sentence in the tv shows...Maybe the scene with Azetbur in STVI?

It was the name of the Vulcan ship that landed in First Contact.
Edit: What cultcross said...
There is a list of the ship names on MA. Apparently the subtitles listed the USS Sioux as the Sue. I don't know if we should discount that. Mary's awesomeness transcends time.
Know what, folk? Negative or positive, yin or yang, there is one simple truth:
WE ARE ALL WATCHING

Not at all.
I've watched what I've watched on a free one-week membership.
And I've decided I'm not subscribing to CBS All-Access right now because Discovery's not that good.
If I hear good things about it over the next couple of months, I may subscribe for a month in November to binge the first half of the season and decide whether it's worthwhile then.
Really enjoyed Discovery. I wonder if the mind meld with Sarek leads to his Bendi syndrome?.
I would prefer that explanation (Burnham embodies something of Sarek's consciousness), but I fear the producers prefer the supernatural long distance phone call.Though, I'd still prefer to think of that exchange as being between Burnham and "the left behind remnant of Sarek" rather than a long distance communication... unless something explicitly confirms the opposite.
I can't wait for the explanation of why Sarek, who disapproves of Starfleet, is willing to be chummy with his ward who serves in Starfleet, yet won't even acknowledge the existence of his own son, who also serves in Starfleet...
+...I found the "battle of the Binary Star" to have far too much pew-pew for a show that had not really established its characters...
...It was too wordy, and I truly would have preferred a little more going on in those episodes than pontificating on the bridge. It's TNG but not in a briefing room.
Are you saying you DIDN'T watch?
Got your attention, or else you wouldn't be here.
Edit: I will bet real money you DO watch. You won't want to be left out of the conversation.
So true -- I suspect the subscription fee is already helping weed out the ones who want to complain just to complain.
For me, I'm firmly in the camp of what I want from Trek, based upon TOS. That's the one I started watching in reruns (as well as first run TAS when I was 3 years old) and still strikes the right balance for me between words and actions. As others have pointed out (and dialogue from Journey to Babel confirms) Sarek (according to Amanda) has nothing against Starfleet but wanted Spock to follow in his footsteps and contribute to Vulcan institutions. Vulcan Science Academy for a (half) Vulcan, and Starfleet for a human. Seems consistent to me.

And in these two quotes we have Star Trek fandom, all fandom, and even all of the internet in one microcosm. Too little action for some, too much action for others. Too much change for some, too little for others. No other real thoughts about that, except I am just glad we have Trek back on TV to disagree about.
I have to say for being one of the most expensive shows ever, I was disappointed with the space battles. The DS9 Dominion war battles where visually more impressive imo.
I didn't really care for the space battles. I was wondering why we were having space battles, honestly. Yeah, Klingons like to fight, they LIVE to fight, but space battle this early in the series? .
