Obviously you watched a different film than I did. To each their own I guess. All i can say is this. What a dumb movie, it was just like watching a bad superhero movie. Huge falls and no injuries etc.. Few good moments are not making this movie a good Trek flick. Music was bad, wooden acting, bad editing and too fast camera work. Star Trek is now "Fast Trek"

I'm 40yo so i guess i'm just too old to watch these kind of action movies (or so i feel)...
I thought Captain Kirk was James Bond in space. Always going places, bedding hot women, charging right into the mouth of mortal danger and always getting out alive (except GEN, but GEN doesn't count because B&B&Moore). Also, since when was Captain Kirk not a superhero?
I'm 53 and loved it.Well it's a matter of taste. I'm 40yo so i guess i'm just too old to watch these kind of action movies (or so i feel)![]()
Aaah, now i feel young againI'm 53 and loved it.
I'm 55, and while what constitutes an action movie in Trek (and other films) has indeed changed a lot since the days of TWOK, I still have no problem with the action components of the three new Trek movies. It is "Action-Adventure" after all. If I want a lot of people sitting around a table talking about deep issues, I'll watch Charlie Rose.I'm 53 and loved it.
