I just really want to hear peoples opinions on all the different Spocks there is.
I really enjoy Star Trek and Spock is my all time favourite, although I like them all for different reasons but I know on other socials other people can be very strong on their opinions on the whole different actor and judging you on which one you like more but here it all seems to be a lot more cooler and I enjoy that.
Anyway, I will go on with my opinions on the different Spocks, I would really like to hear everyone opinions because I really do enjoy talking about this.
Firstly, we have to talk about Leonard Nimoy, in my opinion he is my all time favourite. I really enjoy the older series so I do like Leonard a lot more. I really enjoy the way Leonard portrays the human side of Spock, he is seen t be a lot more emotional in TOS, which I enjoy because it shows how torn he is between the two different sides of him.
I also enjoy the way Leonard talks, he doesn't sound robotic, he sounds like a human talking seriously, or how I would imagine a Vulcan to talk like.
Zachary Quinto's Spock was also really well as well, I did enjoy the movies he was in although they are not my favourite and he might be my least favourite Spock, technically he is a Spock from another timeline which is fascinating how they did this and how they brought Leonard Nimoy into the movies as well.
Anyway, I did enjoy Zachary's Spock as he did show Spock's human side good as well, although in my opinion he was a bit robotic at times but I suppose Vulcans can't show any emotion so he did play the Vulcan side pretty great as well, the only downside I think he had was how the movie came out and that the storyline was good but it didn't really give off Star Trek vibes but that's a different discussion for a different day.
Ethan Peck's Spock, now this is the one I am most interested to hear peoples opinions about, I have heard a lot of mixed opinions about Ethan Peck's Spock that "He's a great actor but the way they wrote Spock was terrible" or "Ethan Peck can't play Spock at all" or even " Ethan Peck is the best Spock out of them all".
In my opinion I think Ethan Peck is amazing actor and I think he can play Spock amazingly, he plays the type of Spock that is completely aware of his Vulcan side and understands what it is to be a Vulcan, but he doesn't understand his human side and doesn't understand what it's like to have and to feel emotions, I do enjoy seeing Spock more Vulcan than human as with Leonard Nimoy I saw it the completely other way around. I have yet to finish season 2 of SNW so no spoilers here! But I did see the episode where he really had a human problem and he had to hide how human he was, I enjoyed that seeing Ethan portray the human side was so interesting to me as we saw a lot more of angry Spock than sad or confused Spock.
Overall, I really do love them all for different reasons honestly I do. Although I think as of now Leonard Nimoy will stay my favourite but I do look forward to hearing what others think of Spock and what ways you see him and if it's completely different from my point of view.
