If you were to give the episode a less...blunt name, something more literary or poetic, what would you call it?

If you want a serious response, I would think something simple like "The Controller" would work. "Crime of the Mind" would be something up Trek's alley. None of them seem all that memorable.

"Children of the Teacher" perhaps.

I would've called it "Life Support" because that's what Spock's body is on, and that's basically what Spock's brain is being used for, controlling the city's functions.

Also it's the season 3 premiere and TOS was basically at that point as well.

I remember thinking it was cool when I was a kid. I don’t own season 3. Nimoy was not happy with this one, so he wrote in I Am Spock.

He wasn't happy with most of the third season. Some of it was the writing and misunderstanding of Spock. Apparently some of it was Roddenberry telling Freiberger that Shater was the lead and not Nimoy.
