So who would you be in ST? and why?

K'Ehleyr

Commodore
Commodore
Which character would you be on ST? Any series. If I couldn't be K'ehleyr, then I'd like to be Deanna Troi, oh to hear what other people think! Then if I was K'ehleyr I frankly wouldn't give a damn and just kill them with a look. Two people on my shoulder, good and bad! Any thoughts?:klingon:

If you mean actual Trek characters they've used? I'd have to say this guy. The fact that he never actually appeared onscreen can only help me in my quest to play him. (Why? I have a mad crush on Ensign Wildman of course!)

But if I could make up a character? I'd like to be a civilian freighter captain, or perhaps an O'Brien-ish enlisted man. In fact, in the (so far) only thing I ever wrote for TrekBBS' Fan Fiction, I wrote myself in as both. :p

Male character: Spock
Female character: Seven of Nine
Hypothetical character: I'd like to be part of the Timeship Relativity crew.

Spock knows how to control his emotions, and my own emotions sometimes get me into trouble if I get angry and yell at the wrong people (even though in my opinion they deserved it). I've already been channeling him for about 30 years anyway. :vulcan:

Seven... well, she's got millennia of accumulated knowledge courtesy of the Borg, she's strong and healthy, and her singing voice is lovely. My own singing voice is not lovely. :(

And I just love the whole concept of time travel. To be able to actually do it and make a positive difference... that would be a bonus.

Captain Kirk, because he gets his hands on more bumper than a body shop. :)

That, and he actually knows how to kick some ass, unlike that wimpy Frenchman. :p

T'Pol, of course!

I'd like to be either Kirk, Data, or Odo, but honestly, I'd probably just be a lowly ensign on the gamma or delta shift of some old starship! I'd still be on the command track, but I'd be lower on the totem pole than Ensign Harry Kim or Acting Ensign Wesley Crusher! :guffaw:-- RR

Just anybody but an anonymous Redshirt on Kirk's ship. I read a joke in an old fanzine a long time ago, about a conversation between a couple of security officers:

Ensign A: So, what's your next assignment?
Ensign B: Landing party duty with the Captain and Mr. Spock.
Ensign A: Can I have your chess set?

Personality-wise, I'd be most like Simon Tarses from The Drumhead. I also relate well to the underlings from Lower Decks, like Sam Lavell. Most of the main characters from all of the series always seemed too perfect to relate to.

I'd be Jadzia. Only less boring, more interesting, do more with the notion that I'm centuries old and know a lot more shit than anyone else, I wouldn't marry boring old Worf (gawd!) and I wouldn't die stupidly praying to get pregnant, what was all that about?!?

If I was a guy, I'd be Spock. Hmm, can a Trill be a Vulcan in a previous life?

Or I would be a Vorta of my own imagining, and be sexually harassing poor Damar something awful. :D

Any thoughts?

Only that K'ehleyr and Deanna Troi are as far apart as any two characters have ever been in the Trekverse. Interesting that those are your two options.

Oh Temis now you've told me what happens in DS9! I'm only halfway through at the moment! My choices are diverse characters, but there's calm and anger in all of us:)

I love it! You always knew who wasn't coming back! But why did they beam down to the same goddamned circle of rocks everytime? You'd have thought they would have learnt it was not a good place!

Nobody told yall about that one year rule about spoilers? DS9 has been off spoilers for a looooong time now - caveat emptor.

Great answer; would be mine, too. I loved Daniels and all the time-travel stuff. When I was a kid (before TOS), I used to imagine bringing Abe Lincoln (or other famous figures) into the present. I might have inherited that from my dad, whose favorite show was the Twilight Zone (first run) -- and who said he wrote sci-fi for his English composition papers in college.

 I wonder if Starfleet officers have to take out landing party insurance!

In another fanzine I saw a single-panel cartoon where TWOK-era McCoy and Kirk are standing together. McCoy is looking down at his uniform and saying to Kirk: "Jim, I just figured out how Spock got killed -- we're wearing red shirts now!" :guffaw:

And when my local Star Trek club went to the fabric store to pick up the material for our uniforms, we drove the salesgirl crazy because she couldn't sell us the red fabric: "But we can't wear red, or we'll get killed!"

The poor girl was obviously not a Trekker. :vulcan:
