So, for fun. If they did introduce Nuclear Man on Smallville, how would they do it?
Here is my take: So, Zod is sucked into the Book of Rao, but, for some reason, the blue Kryptonite isn't allowed in. Perhaps because it is part of the radioactive remains of Krypton. Anyway, as the beam of light is being shot through space, the blue knife with Clark's blood is jettisoned as it took a little while for the beam to recognize what it was. The blue kryptonite now also has some elements of the Book of Rao beam infused in it.
The blue kryptonite flies through Earth's sun. A chemical/biological/science fictional reaction happens and creates Nuclear Man. He floats through space (at a fairly fast speed) and eventually crash lands on Earth. He has no memory of who he is or where he came from. He realizes he has powers, but can't control them and doesn't know what he is fully capable of.
As the season progresses, Watchtower picks up on him and Clark brings him to Smallville. Chloe gives him the false identity of "Nick Clear". Clark tries to train him in his powers, but we soon discover that his Id is too strong and he keeps acting on it. To make matters worse, he
likes it and doesn't like people trying to tell him no.
At first he tries to counter/release this drive by being a crimefighter like Clark. However, he never gets credit for it and people keep assuming it is the Blur who does all these things. He pressures Clark to clear up the mess, but Clark refuses to because he isn't ready to expose himself/identity to the world. This just upsets Nuclear Man.
He sees himself as an equal to the Blur, but will always live in his shadow (since he came second) and will never break out as a hero on his own. He ultimately decides to be a counter to the Blur by setting himself up as a super villain to commit crimes, something that he increasingly likes to do. However, he gets bored of petty stuff and sets his sights on something bigger. He eventually concocts some sort of scheme that puts Metropolis/Smallville/Earth in jeopardy, forcing Clark to confront and stop his protegee.
What do you think? I know it has shades of the Doomsday and Zod arcs, but so be it.
