Smallville Summer Hiatus Thread III (Spoilers)

^It'll come during next year's awards when Smallville and Hellcats are up for awards and Ashley Tisdale gets the Best Actress nod.

Episode #200 Will Be The Fourth Episode Of Season 10

Smallville writer-producer Al Septien has confirmed on Twitter that the 200th episode of the series will be the fourth episode of Season Ten, considering the fact that "Absolute Justice" is indeed counted as two episodes to the final tally.

It is likely that Episode #200 will be airing in October.

Not really news...but I am interested in #200...as we discussed up thread...some hope it will be a celebration of the show or it could have a death like #100 did. I think this whole season needs to be better than the previous ones combined and I hope #200 is great.

[edit] Since the writers are back to work...hopefully we will get some episode titles come out in the coming weeks.

It's more news that we've been getting lately and that's pretty cool. My one wish for this season is they bring back Geoff Johns to write something and that it's a return of the Legion (with Brainiac 5).

And you can't have Brainiac 5 with out Kara.

It's positively unAmerican!

Although are they going to tap Jim for the part or are they going to bring a new chap?

Maybe no Jim, I can't see Kara falling for the same guy who tortured her and tried to destroy a few of her homeworlds, if he still has the same face.

If they want to have a laugh, why not bring in that gimp Tyler from V, who Laura's character over there is teetering on making lizard babies with? I was looking through the imdb lists a few weeks ago and a few minor characters on V were completely minor characters on Smallville I had thoughtfully forgotten about.

But surely the whole notion of being in love with a mass murderer has a very Star Wars feel to it?

I think it would be poignant if they brought Jim back and painted him green and died his hair Spike blonde again. Clark and Chloe would be all like who the fuck are you? "Do not be alarmed. I'm Brainiac 5 and posses 12 level intelligence which immediate makes me smarter than anyone else on this show...why the fuck are you not Superman yet you douche? Ms. Sullivan I'm so sorry but you're not supposed to be alive at this juncture in the timestream, my ancestor was supposed to kill you. Did the writers of this inane show screw that up too?"

Do you guys have anyone that hasn't been on SMALLVILLE make an appearance...other than Darkseid, Granny Goodness...Etc???

I would like to see Lobo on SMALLVILLE...not really a hard character to screw up.

You mean other than the obvious heroes and characters that we wish were on? I could see them screw up Lobo, easily. I'd like to see some kind of reference to the Blackhawks but can't see how they'd fit that in.

You are right they can easily screw up any character based on the track record...depends on who is writing and directing though...I wouldn't trust the regulars with Lobo or another DC character.

Why is it that the Smallville DVD's audio commentaries are always non key episodes? Also why isn't there episode commentaries for both "Absolute Justice" episodes? Sigh.

Smallville: The Complete Ninth Season DVD Extras & Confirmed Release Date

Smallville: The Complete Ninth Season hits DVD on September 7, and we now have a list of the available extras. Some of these had been revealed on KryptonSite already.

- Kneel Before Zod Featurette - Since the Silver Age, the House of El has been plagued by the disreputable deeds of the Kryptonian villain, Zod. Now Smallville brings this infamous foe face-to-face with earth’s greatest hero, Clark Kent. Over the course of the season, Smallville promises to show us the rise of Zod’s venomous side, key betrayals with our beloved characters, and his rising from Major to General Zod. In this docu-featurette, we’ll create an in-depth look at this dynamic criminal from Krypton, his origins in DC’s Silver Age, and his various appearances in more recent film, animation, and live-action television.

- Justice for All Featurette - In the early 1940s, DC Comics formed the first team of superheroes in comic book history, with the Justice Society of America (JSA), pushing some of DC’s lesser known heroes to the forefront; Dr. Fate, Hawkman, Starman and Stargirl to name a few. Season nine of Smallville will see these characters in the “fantastical flesh” for the first time. In this script-to-screen featurette, we’ll meet with Smallville Creatives as they bring one of comic books’ iconic team of superheroes to television for the first time.
- Cast/Creator Commentaries on episodes Idol and Kandor
- Unaired Scenes

I don't get it either. The featurettes sound good though.

Just cos Geoff's not available because he's writing a gazillion books right now doesn't mean you can't have any of the actors or producers talk about Absolute Justice. Unless they're too embarrassed to talk about their own sucky work.

I am guessing because of the JSA featurette they don't need added commentary for "Absolute Justice" Idol seems like a waste for commentary...Kandor isn't too bad...Pandora would be better...instead of Idol though.
