Unfortunately, my sister is addicted to instagram, so all my recent pics of my nephew are annoyingly trendy...fortunately, the awesomeness of his new red hair and his obvious future as a lady-killer are not obscured by the aftereffects!

He loves his red hair so much he has to show everybody, as if it's hard to miss!

Heh. I would love to someday have the nerve to give myself royal blue hair....but not a fauxhawk. Those only look cute on kids. On adults.......not so much.

I don't even have enough hair for a fauxhawk. My scalp is starting to look like the blast radius of a Daisy Cutter bomb.

:sigh:

I did grow a rat tail when I was a kid, though. I'll never do that again.

Awesome pics Ruiaidhri. Hope you both have a wonderful weekend, ceremony and reception :)

And yeah, fauxhawks is more of a kid thing. Worked together with a guy in film school who was 25 and had one and I always thought it looked a bit odd. Then again, he was a bit odd the entirety of him

tsq, turquoise hair? Awesome. Very Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World :D

My son, Alex, is finally back home on leave after Navy boot camp and graduating his first school in Pensacola. My girls went to pick him up at the airport after midnight and facebooked this pic while still there.

Tori obviously missed her big brother :)
Congrats on having him home. Tori is probably at the age were siblings realize how special they are to each other. She's as proud of her brother as she is excited would be my guess.

Couple pictures I took with my shitty camera today at the Dalai Lama's speech at the Tibet Solidarity rally. Didn't get that close because I was a bit late, but didn't really matter.

In honor of the Memorial Day weekend, Eisenhower Park near does this annual thing where the Navy lands some Helicopters in the park. I took my son's, who both love Helicopters and got some pretty good pictures.

There is something about Helicopters, maybe its the improbable way they stay in the air or how they look more utilitarian then aircraft. Just can't get enough of them.

Yeah the SH-60 Seahawk and the MH-53 Sea Dragon are impressive.

On a side note, find it an odd juxtaposition that the pictures before mine are for Dalai Lama.

I love the SH-60 Seahawk! Awesome chopper! Thanks for sharing those pics, Tom!

Well, I'm sure even the spiritual leader of the Tibetans appreciates a good whirlybird or two. Hey, look at it this way...most of the time an SH-60 Seahawk isn't considered a combat or attack helicopter so what could he really complain about even if he wanted to?

The Dalai Lama would love it as a piece of technology. The man loves high tech. He's fascinated by it, and loves to see new technologies every chance he gets.
