Beautiful lilac, Tom. We planted ours a little over a year ago so its about the exact same size. We are really hoping it blooms this year.

Flux, congratulations on your wedding, your beautiful bride, and your new life together! :)

Thank you, ours didn't bloom in its first year. In fact I wasn't sure if it was even alive. It was the first thing I ever planted in my life. I'm not much of a gardner, I have no interest in planting things or taking care of the lawn or anything like that. So planting the Lilac was different for me. My wife, she loves having a garden and planting things.

Ours is all green with leaves right now -- we're just hoping for some flowering. I transplanted a raspberry and a blackberry bush next to our lilac and they are both doing very well. I made an awesome blackberry pie last year from the parent and I wanted one in my yard. Otherwise, our small garden areas are doing well (silver mounds, columbines, azalea, bleeding heart, etc) except the tulips which should be flowered and a foot tall didn't survive the frost last month :(

I went to Disneyland this past weekend.

We were there all day.

We saw a show. It was sorely lacking in historical accuracy - there was not a single mention of Lincoln's crusade to kill all the vampires in this one at all. Blasphemy!

And I bought a hat.

I might be one of the last people in America to say this...but I've never been to Disneyworld nor Disneyland. Not once.

I'd love to see tsq try her hand at writing a graphic novel or some such thing. I think she could do rather well at it! :techman:
I've often thought of it, and even have the idea for a story. The traditional novel came out first, though.

Maybe you could illustrate for me. I have many people saying that my story should be done as a graphic novel.

Of course I have to finish it. :D

I love Disney World! I've taken my family every year for the past 3 years, and we're headed there again next month. Never been to Disneyland, though, and not planning on it.

When I was a kid and a teenager Busch Gardens and King's Dominion here in Virginia were the big theme park hotspots. Great places, and you didn't have to travel many hundreds or even thousands of miles.
