Your birds are definitely more colourful than what I find here. Very pretty.
My place to escape to used to be this:
This field/wood in the background was directly next to our house. It didn't always have flying dogs in it, but it was always better with them.

ETA: That little hilly thing in the background is a hedge bank.
ETA part deux: I am now just learning via Wikipedia that hedge banks to not exist all over the world. I am shocked and dismayed.

The last time I was there they had go-cart races down the other side. There is also a bit of it sectioned off as a toboggan hill.
Not enough snow this year, though.I'm in southwestern Ontario... right on the US border. The least impressive bit of Canada, by far. Except for the place those bird photos were taken... Point Pelee National Park. I would live there if I could.
