It's pretty ingenious, but I'm worried about the stability of his boat when there are waves.

I'm more worried about the fact that it looks like its commercially available. Or there wouldn't be a logo on it. Now if one person is crazy enough that's one thing. We all have our moments. But if there is a market for these things...

I know Italians can't drive for shit, but I hope to God that they know how to drive boats and...bikes. I'm still having nightmares about the traffic in Rome. And that was bloody years ago.

I don't think so, it looks to me like he made it himself. The buoys (or whatever you call these things) are probably commercially available, don't know how you'd make that yourself, but they could've been taken from some other boat. The reason I think he made it himself is that the bike looks completely roadworthy to me, complete with inflated tires and gearing, neither of which you'd need for a pedal boat. I think he can probably take the bike off and ride along on the road with it. Could be that the contraption is commercially built, but the markings don't prove it imo.

Traffic in Rome is getting worse each passing year :(

Only way to drive safely in Rome is in a tank. Otherwise you're buggered. I mean, Budapest is horrible as well. Stockholm or Malmö is not much better either. But Rome. Good lord. Its like they think the brake pedal is the bloody foot rest. Its suicide.

When I was living in Bucharest I found it much faster to take the Metro than drive too. It's just too bad the system doesn't go all the way to the airport.
