One of the players on my favorite soccer team has a draw on his website to win an authentic jersey with his name and number. I won the draw he did at the beginning of September. He wanted a picture of me wearing it so he could post it on his site, and I finally got around to taking a few. So I made this:

My photoshop skills aren't as good as some other people here (doubleohfive comes to mind), but this was not bad for a first effort, I think.

"Bimbo"?!? I'm guessing not too many female fans wear the official jersey.

Also, I really hate how soccer uniforms have the sponsor's logo more prominent than the actual team's logo. Philly's got a really cool logo that seems wasted on that uniform.

I love the Union's logo, but I must say that I've gotten used to sponsorship on the kits. No commercials during the game, so they have to find revenue somewhere. I have a navy and gold authentic jersey from last season, too--before the sponsor.

And yeah, "Beembo" is the largest bakery in the world. They actually own a lot of regional bakeries in the US. I found out recently that Stroehmann, the brand of bread that I grew up eating in SE PA, is a Bimbo subsidiary. The company's name is just so unfortunate for an anglophone.

Today I went on a road trip over to Jasper and the Canadian Rockies. It was my first time there and it was pretty amazing.
