My neighbour's pond. She has five, and one very small newborn now. There were a couple of squirrel feeding a moment a ago, but darted out of the shot when I went to adjust my camera, darn! She did a really good job, it was a jungle a year ago!

Great in-action pic btw. Slightly faster shutter speed and it would've been perfect.
The story behind that one is that around 4 PM or so, the fishermen show up. Between the leftover bait, and the dicarded fish entrails, it's an eagles paradise. I saw 25-30 that afternoon.
Went to the other side of the dock, and was mildly worried about all the sharp taloned eagles between me and solid ground. As I walked, they flew up and swarmed around, before langing back down. Very surreal and hard to describe, but something I'll always remember.

Ravens are all the fuck over Alaska. And they eat trash. Nasty fucking birds.
