I had my picture taken yesterday because I planned on watching my husband (CM Punk) wrestle his last match today so I was getting ready to slit my wrists with his departure.

I will not give anything away about the PPV but I have chosen not to slit them yet.

You look mixed, curious what?

Nothing special, American-English-Ukrainian, but people say the Ukrainian side shows more.

It's kinda funny because I always get asked 'you're not from around here, are you?' and I tell them 'no, I am originally from Buffalo' (I live in Canada now, 2 hours away from Buffalo) and they feel kinda dumb because they expected some place in Europe or something, ha.

I love Eastern european looks, lucky.

I have the same problem. Almost everyone thinks I'm Russian or Ukrainian. Although, I think the craziest was Georgian. I haven't even been in those countries for Christ sake!

Oh, God, just a picture of a glass floor makes me nauseous. I can't imagine actually standing on top of one.

So I shouldn't repost the photo from my ex's visit in May 2009, when I took him up the CN Tower and had him take a picture of me lying on the glass floor? :p

I just got home from Polaris a couple of hours ago, and here are a couple of pictures.

First, after I was interviewed by Katie Uhlmann of TTN-HD (I think they're a Web media outlet only), following the Constellation Awards ceremony:

I only just noticed, my hair is almost as long as hers is. (Actually, when I met KRAD at the airport on Friday, he remarked that my hair is longer than his now.)

And here's one taken from a distance - I'm in the Programming Office, on the right, looking up something for the head of our A/V department:

I never get any pictures taken with the guests. :( It just occurred to me I should have had photos taken with Charlaine Harris and Brandon Sanderson (I liaise with the authors, as part of my job as Programming department co-head).

Just to stir things up a little, I should mention that I got to meet Jewel Staite before the awards ceremony. I'm the stage manager, so I try to introduce myself to each of the presenters and any guests who might be attending the ceremony beforehand - basically, anyone who will be going on stage or who might be going on stage. So in addition to Jewel, I got to meet Paul McGillion and Ennis Esmer (all three were presenting awards), Adam Baldwin (he won for Best Male Performance in a TV Episode, for "Chuck Vs. the Couch Lock"), and Teddy Wilson and Ajay Fry, the hosts of InnerSPACE, which is a magazine show on the Space channel (the Canadian equivalent of the SyFy Channel). They were MCing the ceremonies.

The odd thing was that when Teddy and Ajay showed up, they came to my office to meet up with the head of the Constellation Awards committee. When I introduced myself, Teddy said, "Oh, I've heard of you." I'd never met the man before.

I also got to meet Armin Shimerman - he was very nice, and when his guest liaison told him that I was on the committee as far back as number 2, he signed his photo to me, "Thanks for your time and commitment." Really a classy gentleman.

you're from Atlanta, right?

Who, me? Nah, I'm from Stockholm, Sweden. I've been to Atlanta though, might've mentioned it here on the boards.

i knew you'd miss the joke.

atlanta is in a US state called Georgia. you said people think you're from the former USSR state called Georgia.
