It's been a while since I posted in this thread. I hope everyone is doing alright! :)

All is quiet on the Omny front. Last month we had a formal party (Roaring Twenties theme) at the academy,
and a professional photographer took this photo. I still have to scan it properly :p.

I'm the guy on the right.

Oh, that is awesome. I've recently begun having an infatuation with the roaring 20's. Particularly, with all due respect, the ladies of the roaring 20's. :D

what right? yours or mine?
I'm the guy standing farthest away from the vehicle ;)

Mmmm...Scandanavian flappers...

(I think you said you were Swedish right?)
Nope, apart from some IKEA Billy's in the living room (they are everywhere!), I'm 100% Dutch.

The ladies performed the main opening act for the party. After the party had started me and my buddy (guy to the left of me, KJbushway: that is the second farthest guy from the vehicle :p), had our picture taken with them.

Well hello there. ;)

The added caveats when doling out compliments always make it seem like that's exactly what they are doing.

It's like someone starting a statement with, "I'm not racist or anything, but those Mexicans..."

Yeah, I don't get it either tbh. Don't see the big deal. I like compliments. When I posted my pics (or the link to my website) I got a couple of nice, polite compliments.
Why should those people worry about me being mad at them? :p

Lovely Ladies, all, and you Gents look rather sharp yourselves. :D

So I just got back from a trip to New Orleans. Still have a ton of pictures to sort through, but here are some of the ones I took on a swamp tour:

Full set is here

I just got back from NOLA, too. I thought about taking a swamp tour, but I was worried about mosquitoes.

I did eat alligator while I was there, though. Cajun spiced and fried.

I was completely shocked by the complete absence mosquitoes in the swamp. Seriously, there wasn't a single one! I got nary a bug bite the entire time I was in NOLA. Conversely, a few weeks ago here in Edmonton I think I lost several litres of blood to the damn things

it seemed to me one summer in Georgia that those blood thirsty creatures didn't like me. Now for the past two I can't stop being bit.
