This is the best dog I've ever seen

Awesome looking pooch!

German Shepherd or Turvuren?

It's a german shepherd and he's smart as hell. He knows exactly when he did something bad and my father knows exactly something happened when he gets all quiet and keeps my father in his sight to see how he'll react even if my father doesn't know what he's done yet

As i said no food is safe from him.. he once stole the entire plate of stuff my father wanted to put on the barbeque and he just went inside to get something else. A mistake my father didn't make again.

My father loves him to death and he took good care of him as evident from the picture. Got him as a pup from a professional breeder and he's the biggest of the litter. This being my fathers first own dog he also made some mistake especially leaving some rat traps with poison in the cellar and the small pup ate some of it.. i've rarely seen my father this distressed but luckily he pulled through.

reminds me of my cat.... :(

Why does thinking of your cat make you sad?

^His cat passed away not long ago. Keep the good memories, calhoun, I still have my Maxwell's ID tag in my jewelry box. :)

as TSQ said, i lost my cat after 12 years in september.

and thanks for the kind words, TSQ. I keep Shade in my memory every day.

Oh, I see. Sorry to hear that.

I only rarely post pics, but I was going through some of the photos from a short break last week, and liked these two of me:

Awesome photos, really liked them (even though I tried to ignore KJbushway's comments). Felt a bit like Mastroianni?

why ignore mine one comment out of the rest, unless your intentionally either trying to be mean or funny. because it had nothing to do with the rest. ShamelessMcBuny said it, point him out.

The storm cometh...

Tornado sirens, high, straightline winds, and torrential rains followed shortly thereafter.

A rainbow... or part of one:

It was way too big to fit in the frame. It's nice to see something beautiful after a terrible storm.

Oh you three boys just made my day!
This is the first time I've heard a woman say that specific phrase that didn't involve group sex.

Anyway, here's some more chainmail related pictures that I made with a camera:

This is the stuff I use to turn the wire into coils. Stolen milk crates have many uses.

This is the stuff I use to turn the coils into rings. The jewelers saw is the best option. The edges are nicer than with any sort of pinch cutting. I tried using a Dremel but it didn't work for various reasons.

chn005.jpg

The tools I use to turn the rings into chainmail. Jeweler's pliers (needle-nose pliers with flat jaws instead of teeth), and heat shrink wire insulation on the tips for extra grip. The file is for deburring. I use my Swiss Army Knife if I can't find my files, which I seem to misplace more than other stuff.

chn004.jpg

Some rings I've used, a quarter, and my hand wearing a glove. The one on the left is one of the rings I used for my shirt: 14-gauge galvanized steel, 11/16" ID. The two on the right I'm using for my current project: 16-gauge Aluminum 5356 alloy, 3/8" and 5/16" IDs.

More pictures of my actual work coming soon. This shit takes forever, especially when I'm designing it as I make it, and when I'm working on a project that's actually above my skill level.

We had a black cat that looked very much like your cat. We, too, lost her at age 12 due to cancer. This was 4 years ago and we miss her still but usually just recall the good times now.
