depends on your own POV, but i like both.
i actually saw the 50s WOTW the same day i saw iD4 (BBC 2 showed WOTW in the evening after i saw iD4 at the cinema) and i basically said 'holy cow, iD4 totally ripped off WOTW!'
How can you *not* have seen War of the Worlds?!?
I was naive for along time. I didn't get into star trek and other science fiction until middle school. I am still a science fiction virgin for the most part.
