This is the Captain Kirk that sits on the desk of Captain Kirk and the picture was taken by the guy who takes pictures of Captain Kirk. Its going up on the next shuttle mission.

Could I be a bigger nerd? I don't know. I'd have to try very hard.

Just got a new phone this past weekend. It's not the best picture-taker, but it's many times better than my last phone. Took this as I left work yesterday:

Someone took a trip to South Florida this past week. And none of this Miami or clubbing or beach stuff, I'm talking a National Park vacation.

Pictures of me in an Irish pub on St Patrick's day last week.

With thanks to the photographer for making halfway decent pictures of me.

Neat! Whatcha drinkin'?

Half a litre of Hoegaarden. More or less the way it should be drunk: with a lemon wedge. Normally the glass should be frozen too, but well, it was an Irish pub after all. What do they know of beer. ;)

Smoothie, those pictures look amazing!! Too bad I hate the heat! ;)

Camera phones have come a long way.

No kidding. My digital camera is 10 megapixels...my phone is 12!
They may have more pixels, but their lenses are still pretty crap compared to even a low end digital camera. All the pixel resolution means is that you'll get a larger, crappier image.

And who needs a 12 MP pixel image? No one unless you're printing off an HD billboard. A 640x480 image is fine if you're going to print off a 4x6.

^ Very nice, as usual! :techman:

Last one looks a bit like rosemary?

Release the sharks!

No sharks to be found there, but I did see a big sea turtle inside the moat. Wouldn't be a trip to the Tortugas (Spanish for turtle) without seeing a turtle.

I'll guess that's him there.

Winner! I lied about the cookies though, I'm fresh out.

They're pretty stealthy underwater when they want to be, despite being just below the surface.
