Yup, I worked on all those shows before (including, unfortunately, Twilight) and my favourite set is Supernatural. It's so much fun. It was amazing when Kim Manners was still alive though. I worked on Xfiles 2 and when I went to the premiere Kim was there. That was the last time I saw him. I remember that stupid random scene at the end of the movie when Scully & Mulder are on this tiny boat and like sailing away. I'm sure everyone was quiet because they were trying to be polite or something but Kim, who was sitting behind me, just yelled:"WHAT THE FUCK?!" amazing. That man had such a potty mouth. Fantastic director though and such a shame. Bleh sorry I went a bit off topic :D

Sounds like I would have loved to meet Kim Manners. I've heard really cool things about Supernatural's behind-the-scenes. I've read a lot about how things are so chill there and people just have a blast. It's always lovely to hear that. The show operates like that and yet does pretty damn well by itself in the storytelling department, proving you can have your cake and fight demons, too.

I love Vancouver too though. But I lived in LA as well and while I didn't like the city so much, I loved Malibu and Calabasas. I'm a huge fan of sunshine :D My favourite place in California is Santa Barbara. I went to MJ's Neverland in SB County quite a while ago (like got to go inside) and the nature was just overwhelming. So, so beautiful. You're on my facebook, I think you'll be able to see the pics from there ;)

Oh yeah, there are places in the area I'd love to visit. Santa Barbara seems cool and I'd enjoy Malibu for a while. I love the sunshine, too -- Clearwater Beach is a great diversion 'round these parts.

I'll check out those pics. :mallory:

I lived in Santa Barbara for 2 1/2 years. A lovely place to visit, but an expensive city with a really entitled, divorced from reality, bad attitude undercurrent running through it. I wouldn't recommend it for living. If you drive, expect to be assaulted with a traffic cone if you use a rich person's driveway to U-turn. Also expect to pay a meter maid's annual salary in fabricated parking tickets and moving violations.

Yup! But honestly so is Vancouver. It's one of the most expensive cities to live in. I rent a one bedroom for 2500 at the moment and I'm a student. I have a roommate but damn it freakin sucks. The food is expensive. Even if I moved to a place outside of the Downtown area, I'd still have to pay a lot. Lameee. :vulcan:

Since we're doing pictures, here's one of me and the Great One herself. Enjoy....

Holy shit! I didn't know you're Cameron Crowe!

Me too... Except I don't follow the show. (Only ever seen the SGA episodes that Connor Trinneer starred in). I'd still love to see our resident Firecrackerrrr onscreen though. :D

^I think SilentP's talking about Star Trek fan films. Fancy giving acting a whirl? You'd look awesome in a TOS red miniskirt!

Heh actually I've been doing extra work for years here in Vancouver and got about 5 speaking parts over the years. Just one liners and stuff. But urgh no, I don't think I could work in that industry full time again. I love what I'm studying and science has always been my passion.

That said, I most likely couldn't turn down an offer to play a younger Janeway

Well, I know some of the fan film people (I'm friends with someone who was a writer/producer for Hidden Frontier and moved over to New Voyages after HF shut down, and I know several lot of the HF cast members, who are doing other projects now), so if I hear anything about a casting call for Janeway I'll know who to suggest. :)

I knew Vancouver was expensive intellectually, but I had no idea. I have a one-bedroom smack in the geographical centre of Toronto and I'm paying less than half that.

They do casting for Stargate, Supernatural and Caprica here.

I love Stargate! Which episodes were you in?

I am also a Stargate nut. I'd love to know.

I wish I could tell ya but I haven't watched Stargate in a looooong time and I've only seen the movies and a few episodes here and there. Last time I worked on it was years ago and it was just an extra job on that. I had small speaking parts in stupid shows like Edgemont, Still Life and Jake 2.0 :guffaw: I was a mutant in X-Men 3 though but just extra work. They did zoom in on me when we yelled "nooooo" at Magneto's speech in that forest (that was filmed near Capilano bridge....a must-see Vancouver attraction just FYI :D ) but unfortunately half of that speech was cut out. Actually on the script it said that the movie was supposed to run for about 2 hours and 2 minutes. They cut it down to 1:35 because Fox wanted more playtime in theatres. Figures..... :vulcan: I did play a waitress in Devour but holy mother of gods was I ever skinny back then. Not my favourite look to be honest D:

Another one was X-files 2. I was a nurse, but no speaking Annie made it into the flick :( Here's some pics from that set though.

I don't know what was going on with my hair here BUT Mr. Duchovny bought me a coffee so I don't give a shit :guffaw:

At the premiere I was back to my red hair. This is with Chris Carter and the sick boy from the movie (the one we were doing surgery on :D )

Haha thanks :D And yep Vancouver is INSANE. URGH.

I am insanely jealous of anyone who meets David Duchovny and Chris Carter.

And that's Frohike in the final picture.
