Yet another picture of me hiking. This time in the Blue Ridge Mtns along the AT.

You take the best trips!

^ You're adorable, as always. Did you bring the dogs?

Not this time, hard to bring the little boogers on a plane.

Plus, National Parks are sadly very dog unfriendly.

He speaks true, sadly.

Went to the Oregon Country Fair this weekend (nothing to do with agriculture), was some pretty weird, wild stuff

Once again, you make me miss my hometown. We actually drove by the site of the Fair last week and saw them getting ready. I was tempted to stay another few days so I could go. I will never forget the time, as a kid, when my uncle took my brother, mom and me ... and I spent most of the afternoon with my mom's hands covering my eyes so I wouldn't see all the naked boobies. Hey, it was the '70s. I was actually more shocked by all the hairy armpits and legs on the women. :p

Oh there's still lots of boobies. :techman: That's hilarious about your Mom, I'm sure mine would have done the exact same thing. Heck, I could even imagine her doing it NOW (on some level I think she still thinks I'm 8 years old).

A guy I used to work with years ago would always say that Yellowstone was a good place to take dogs to. He and his wife took their two labs to Yellowstone on several separate trips (from Ohio).

We can't all be gay men in tuxedos crusing around the Caribbean, but I try my best nonetheless!

Grass is always greener, I guess. I was camping for only a couple days when I was in Oregon last week and I loved it. Made me realize how much I miss camping. My folks were really surprised I wanted to sleep outside in an old tent instead of inside in their nice fancy motorhome, but it was great. I haven't slept that well in years. And, there's nothing like having to pull your clothes into your sleeping bag first thing in the morning to warm them up so you can stand to put them on before getting up and saying hello to the world for the day ... or coffee made over the camp fire .... or cooking outside ... or everything smelling like campfire smoke ... or the the sky full of stars at night .... :techman:

I need to find a good hypnotist who can help me "convince" The Hubby to like camping.

We have a gay campground a couple of hours from here, which has clothing optional areas. My hubby took no more convincing than that. :D

There's always this one...

So, if you went camping, and woke up with your pants around your ankles and Vaseline all over your bottom, would you tell anyone?

No...hell, no!

So, wanna go camping?

Plus, camping is always better with a Lab or two in the tent. I bought a larger tent just so I could fit the beasties in there with me. You'll never be cold camping again.

That one isn't my speed, but I did particularly enjoy this one campground in Maine we stayed at a few years back. I'm sure you are aware of the time honored tradition of pissing on the fire to put it out. In the site across from us, the female of the species performed this ritual. Wacky French Canadians.

Edit: Yours truly, ruining a vertically challenged guy's day during our opening match in this year's intercompany Beachvolleyball tournament. I felt kinda bad afterwards, all their dudes were pretty tiny and obviously no regular BV players :/

I note that the beer trailer has been placed immediately adjacent to the volleyball court.

They must have been getting ready for the beer inning.

Litmus Dragon, really enjoyed your pictures. That place reminds me of Burning Man. Not that i ever went to that, but it was on Malcolm in the Middle (tv is my friend.)

TrekkieMonster, I absolutely LOVE your Oregon pics. LOVE the booby stories!!!! :guffaw:

Kestra, another vote for adorable!
