Night Court revival

Very fun episode. Incorporating New York Comic Con into the was a great idea. It fits with the show perfectly I'd love to see that be a yearly thing on the show because that works. I used to go to NYCC years ago so it's always fun to see it brought up.

Good catch that Wyatt shouldn't have a problem attending Comic Con. Still, he is such a better fit for the show than Neil ever was.

A lot of fun with the Larroquette Star Trek stuff.

Very glad they brought back the always great Wendie Malick. Her character is a lot of fun and I like the screwy relationship she and Dan have.

Jol yIchu! (Thankfully I had to look up how to spell that.) No WAY in this day and age they were going to give him face paint.

(Hey look! Zorro!)

I didn't like the childhood friend story except Olivia was hilarious. And Wyatt's Morpheous was perfect.

Wendy Malick. That's all that needs to be said.

Olivia was a character I found too broad early on but find very funny now. I like the character a lot and the broadness works.

Dan was more a stuffy conservative type who for the first, oh, 12 episodes of the classic series was barely emotive about the opposite sex. That changed around the time Billie the new public defender joined the cast. Some characters take time to bake.

Still a week behind. The Comic-Con episode was pretty fun -- hit-and-miss, but there were some good gags. The one about Abby rebuilding a spiderweb was my favorite.

Nyambi Nyambi does a terrific Lawrence Fishburne impression. No doubt why they wrote it into the episode.

Since this is a Warner Bros. co-production (with Universal), no wonder they were able to feature so many DC characters, as well as The Matrix and Harry Potter. (Much like how the classic show was able to incorporate the Coyote & Roadrunner.) But they were also able to get away with Klingon and PAW Patrol references. I'm a bit disappointed that Dan's Klingon makeup wasn't a recreation of his Maltz makeup and costume, just a more generic Klingon, but maybe that would've crossed a legal line or something.

i thought the latest episode was fun...now i never watched more than a few minutes of Big Bang Theory -- so i am not sure how y'all felt about the reunion? Slightly annoyed that they repeated the "This feels familiar" gag... but i am assuming we won't see another of that in the future...?

But yeah, the overall show was again classic Night COurt -- liked how it was all "fashion/fashion show" related

You should have read the comments. Here's some insight you should have considered regarding "Maltz"
As for complexion, there have certainly been Klingons of various skin tones over the many series. Plus, wouldn't darkening Dan down draw criticisms of blackface?

unfortunately, i can't find it...but George Takei and Grace Lee Whitney appeared in some ads for Social Security Administration, in Pseudo-TOS uniforms. I think it's a way to show something Trek related without Trek lawyers being forced to enforce copyright unneccesarily.

I just finished binge-watching Night Court on FreeVee. It was one of my favorite shows as a kid. However, I kinda remembered it jumping the shark in its final season, but upon the rewatch, the only thing that I thought ended up being really stupid was the series finale where Bull thought he was being stalked by aliens, finding out they were two senior citizens from Florida, then finding out they were really aliens, and left with them for their planet. The whole side plot was dumb, even for Night Court standards. I mean, Bull just got married! Did he even bother to think about Wanda? Obviously not. I would have loved for Richard Moll to have made an appearance on the new show in a more serious manner, but that ship has sailed. RIP, Mr. Moll.

The fashion episode was okay, though I didn't know where we were supposed to know the love-interest guest actor from until I looked it up afterward, since I never got into The Big Bang Theory. I did recognize Jenifer Lewis by her voice, though I got my imperious voices I know from animation mixed up and thought she was CCH Pounder at first. (Which is a change, since I usually get Jenifer Lewis confused with Dawnn Lewis.)

They seem to be doing a lot of meta references lately, with Dan saying being a Klingon feels familiar and Abby saying Rauch's former co-star seemed familiar. So I expect there will be some kind of Star Trek reference when Brent Spiner returns.

Rumor has it that Kate Micucci will be playing the Wheeler's daughter (should be fun). The original Carol Anne Wheeler, Keri Houlihan hasn't done any acting since 1992.

At least we can stop wondering if she got "Chuck Cunninham'd" since she was only in the first of three appearances by the Wheelers.

Yes, but did she get to see Disney Land?
