Missing 32" Enterprise finally found...

Last year someone posted a photo they took of what turned out to be a wall applique from the throne room set of the original Stargate film in an alley in Los Angeles. God only knows how it ended up there thirty years after production.
I had to go read all the comments to find out whether they rescued it. Spoiler alert: they did. So cool.

Yup. The original Enterprise model after being stolen and lost for near 50 years is back with a roddenberry where it belongs. Rod will said keep it either in sny archives he has of Genes or give it to the Smithsonian for all to enjoy. The judge did the right thing. The guy who found it use pine sol to clean it and damaged it. Glad its out of his hands.
It should have stayed where it was unsullied by such Interlopers.
Totally agree. The pine sol rubbed off some paint and decal work. If it would have been left alone a lot less restoration work would have been needed. I hope they leave as much of the original decal and paint work as they can.
