Berman-era Star Trek and streaming; What's going on?

First, let me make clear that I am Dutch. Here in the Netherlands, after they were taken from Netflix recently, show like TNG, DS9 and VOY are no where to be found anymore. SkyShowTime, which is I believed partly owned by Paramount, has SNW, SFA, PRO and ENT, and the Kelvin movies. Parts of Picard and LOW.
All three seasons of Picard are on Amazon.

Now, when SkyShowTime was launced here, it was advertised as THE home for Star Trek. However, except for just a few months, Berman Trek is nowhere. The original 10 movies pop up sometimes, and are gone again after a little while. With the current ongoings with Paramount and CBS, it seems to be quite unclear as to what we can except for streaming of Star Trek, outside of the USA that is.

Has there been any news that I may have missed recently on what will happen with the Berman shows on streaming apps?

Which makes me wonder how far SkyShowTime is a part of Skydance. If hardly, it means we can basically kiss Berman Trek on streaming goodbye.

I have a lot on dvd or bluray. But turns out my bluray player needs replacement, so I'll have to look into that. But the ease of streaming is something I really enjoy.

That's fair. Which is why I am looking into a new bluray player. Problem is, with my current one I can disable upscaling. A lot of dvd's look shit with upscaling on. So I want to make sure I have that option.

It's on Paramount+ in the United States, so that's probably not what'd going on.

Some of my VHS tapes work better than the DVD's in my collection.
Keep them dry and take care of them and they'll last longer than a human lifespan.

I enjoyed the ease of watching Star Trek on netflix too, which was also pulled from that service in NZ this year. They added Stargate SG-1 to their library which is what I use to justify not cancelling the subscription. Also, my son won't let me.

Paramount+ is not available in NZ.

DVDs and Blu-Rays are what I stick to. First, because I no longer trust streaming services. They dropped Babylon 5 on Tubi, and I'd thought it was safe. I'm glad I liked the series enough to buy it on DVD before that happened.

Driving it back to Star Trek, even if I did trust streaming services more, I no longer carry Paramount+ because I lost interest in Kurtzman Trek and I wasn't watching anything else on their service. So, there was no point in keeping it. Which means DVDs and Bly-Rays are exclusively how I watch Star Trek now.

Beyond Star Trek, with everything else I watch: between Amazon, Tubi, YouTube, and whatever I buy on physical media, I'm covered.

I agree that physical media has many advantages over streaming. Unfortunately, it just no longer matches the way I watch things. Very, very rarely do my wife and I sit in our living room anymore and just watch TV. Most of the time, when we watch something, we are at our computers, laying in bed on our phones, etc. We don't even have a TV in our bedroom. Streaming just meets the needs of the way we watch things today.

I have a few specific items on physical media. I have the 4K director's edition release of TMP, for example. But as a general rule, if I'm going to watch something, it's going to be through streaming.
