Why the hell is that more serious? Because he's a man?
Because it's a joke. Steal his thunder. Thunder. God of Thunder.
I'm guessing you don't write much comedy.

I hope not. I don't like the idea of the stories we've had for all these years turning out to be wrong. Also, isn't the Sentry supposed to be a Superman-level character? It's implausible that the stories we have would've turned out remotely the same way if a guy that powerful had been around. It also takes away Captain Marvel's thunder as the most powerful hero in the MCU.

The backstory reads like it should have been a one-off graphic novel unattached to the shared Marvel Universe, like an Astro City mini-series or something.IMO, in the comics, the Sentry's backstory is absolutely awful and reeks of the marketing/promotional scheme it was designed to be. The character could easily have been introduced as having operated in the shadows for years.
Before i get into the other stuff...just on this... what level of "Superman" are we talking about? Like MCU Icarius of the Eternals level of Superman, or DCFU's version which has him be the repository of all Krpyptonians' DNA as well as his death triggering Darkseid's impending Apocalypse (pun intended)I hope not. It’s a bit more serious, taking Thor’s thunder! He doesn’t take it well.

I assume it's because Thor is the God of Thunder.
So is it just me, or does it seem like most other people got the joke?Because it's a joke. Steal his thunder. Thunder. God of Thunder.

You guess wrong. https://christopherlbennett.wordpre...tion/hub-space-tales-from-the-greater-galaxy/
In fact, when I wrote "Captain Marvel's thunder," I was tempted to attempt some convoluted pun about the Fawcett/DC Captain Marvel and how he was almost called Captain Thunder, but I decided that would be too labored. I guess that distracted me from thinking of the Thor connection.
He just missed a joke. A ridiculously obvious joke. Not the end of the world.Wow. You wrote one book, which no one here (so far) seems to have heard of. Only one reviewer has stated that they felt it was funny. But based on the interaction here, what you find funny might not be funny to the rest of us.
Not the end of the world, but it seems to be a recurring pattern (including the tone of the reaction of what is obvious to MOST to be a joke.He just missed a joke. A ridiculously obvious joke. Not the end of the world.![]()
Hey, look everyone! Over here! Marvel news! (Thank God...)
Ebon Moss-Bachrach confirms that the Thing will be CGI. He mentions the suit worn by Michael Chiklis, noting that it was very uncomfortable for Chiklis ,and says, "We're past that". Going on he compared the suit to "cosplay" and "kind of amateur that kind of stuff now with the technology we have".

No, I get it. Believe me.Not thebend of the world, but it seems to be a recurring pattern
I rankle at some of what he said, but I do agree that Grimm specifically will be served much better by going CG.Ebon Moss-Bachrach confirms that the Thing will be CGI. Definitely makes sense. As everyone else will be CGI (when it comes to powers at least).
Do we think that the animators will have enough time to do a good job??

Sentry was way after my time, so i don't know how powerful he's supposed to be.... but also that ca be easily changed to suit the direction of the MCU

Considering other major Marvel characters such as the Hulk and Thanos were CGI, it'd be weird if the Thing was a dude in a costume, where things like height and movement are still gonna be relegated to an actor's body shape.
Uh, stupid question: do the Avengers still exist in some form after the events of Endgame or they are disbanded or something like that?
