^ I have the same av as you on a different board I post on. Its freaking me out because I see your posts and think at first its me talking to myself!

The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Angels starting pitcher Nick Adenhart, 22, was killed in a traffic accident by a hit-and-run driver.

I do not know anything about this young man, but .... how tragic it has to be for his family as well as his team.

I saw him pitch a number of times last year in Salt Lake. His fastball was good and his control really started to come along toward the end of the season. He looked like a high school kid, which I guess he almost was. Terribly, terribly sad.

I saw some of the game last night in which he pitched. He was terrific going 6 and giving up no runs. This is just really really tragic. Prayers go out to the family, and Angels Organization. :(

Aw, man. That's sad. :(

While I'm all for winning, this way is for the birds, Diamondbacks.

Friggin heart attacks every half inning? Chasing Webb in 4? Please not again, thankyouverymuch.

Now you know what it's like to be a Mets fan. Welcome to our world. :)

QFT!

Anybody know why Saturday's Mets/Sox game (on MLB Network) cut out in the bottom of the 9th? There were 2 outs, and all of a sudden it goes to the test pattern and never comes back.
In honor of the Mets losing 7 games in which they had a lead the 9th inning or later, MLB.com is now offering the 'blown save' package, in which an otherwise crisp telecast falls apart late in the game.

Ouch.

Is it OK to admit I have a mancrush or Mr. Met?

I'd be upset if you didn't and question your loyalty as a real Mets fan. :)

:guffaw::guffaw::guffaw: I want Mr. Met's babies! They'd be so cute. :wtf: :wtf: :p

Speaking of babies, this was on my baby registry for my newborn.

Okay... I'm hoping Bobby Cox lets Lowe pitch at least 7 innings tonight. No need in pulling starters out early and letting that TERRIBLE bullpen out there tonight.

I am really glad the injury to Martinez (Giants young pitcher) was not as serious as it looked. I refuse to watch that replay because it was a hell of a vicious hit. 3 small fractures and full recovery expected is lucky.

Woot... got my hit on MLB Beat the Streak today! 5 in a row. Only 52 more to go until I'm a millionaire!

Looks like they might have to suspend this Braves/Nationals game if the rain gets too bad. There's only a Tornado WARNING.

Meanwhile, the Red Sox have had the shittiest luck I have ever seen over the last three games. Every liner they hit is caught, and every bloop the opponent hit drops. And then of course they rally, so they are only one or two runs short when they loose.

LOVELY.
