Major League Baseball 2009

The National League is much weaker than the American. I'll admit it.

While I would normally agree with you, the Phillies lineup is would be good in either league, especially in that ballpark.

I did like reading though that as soon as the game was over, he went into the clubhouse and put the Red Sox game on, because he wanted to check up on them. Yes he is on another team, but I like that sort of loyalty...the fact that it ended mutually on both sides, and that he still wants to see his old team succeed.

Oh and 2 of 3 from Tamba Bay...fun times at the Trop.

Nice to see the Mets finally get a win. They were pretty good today at Coors Field. Although the Rockies made some great catches as well.

And the Yankees continue marching on... :techman:

You should see me at a Mets/Nats or Rockies/Nats game. I spend half the time cheering one team, then cheering the other the rest of the time. :p

You actually want people to see you watching the Mets or Nats?

I don't care how bad the Mets are playing this year. I still like 'em. No fair-weather fan, this. ;)

Haha, well it's easy to be a fan of the Mets when you're a fan of the Yankees as well...big difference there...

Perhaps. But as I said, I refuse to recognize cross-town rivalries, at least this one. So I claim the right to root for both.

I finally found a way to combine two things I love- baseball and beading! As full of fail as the Mets have been this season, I still love 'em. So I made this bracelet with a Mets charm:

I wanted to make a Rockies bracelet, too, but I couldn't find a charm. :(

Good game by the G-Men today, but those Fox Sports announcers are the worst I have heard in a while. The entire game they were creaming their pants over the Brewers and that jackass Prince Fielder, while constantly crapping on the Giants at every turn. Uribe hits a homer and either Dick Stockton or the other guy goes on about how the Giants haven't hit many home runs. They're having a fireside chat with the Brewers' manager while the game is in progress with the Giants batting, they nearly pee'd their pants when Fielder hit a fly ball into center, yet were calm as can be whenever the Giants would hit anything out far, and one of them actually referred to one of the Brewers' relief pitchers as "The great Trevor Hoffman." The thing that really got me was they were constantly saying that the Brewers "have the tying run on second" instead of "the possible tying run" I know it's a minor thing but it just struck me as major favoritism.

Well I will agree with the bias on some level...he can be called the great Trever Hoffman. The guy has the record for most saves in MLB. I would say thats pretty great.

Agreed. Trevor *is* great, so calling him that is always logical. Bias isn't bias if it's justified. :)

So that's the second backbreaker in about 2 weeks for the Giants and Walk-off Home Runs. Now they are down two games, because for some crazy reason, the Rockies refuse to lose. That is very not kind. :(
