Jayru (JSnaith's) 3D Trek

Updates:

Indeed.

Tractor Beam :bolian:

More later

Okay, just a quibble… What is your reasoning for the ‘double red’ light layout on either side of the landing deck? Are the vertical ones considered to be lineup lights, with the outer horizontal ones being deck edge/danger ones?

If so, then my thought/guess would be that the vertical ones should not be red - maybe amber/yellow or something along a more ‘advisory’ type indicator. Also, I’d change the color of the horizontal ones to mimic the running lights… red on starboard, green on port. As a mariner, that seems/feels natural (or at least, according to a historic Terran Paradigm, lol.)

Of course, that would mean you might want to change the central light from green to something different, maybe also amber, or remove it completely (less is more)? Just spitballing thoughts here…

Cheers and thanks for entertaining these rambling thoughts at 5am in the morning.

Cheers,
-CM-

Edit to Add: Of course, if that’s how the lights are on the original model, then forget all the above, lol…

Great idea building tmp shuttle engines a nice upgrade to a classic design
It's actually the Phase II nacelle, not the TMP one ;)

i had the sudden strange image of a canoe and a bunch of suitcases strapped to the top of the shuttle pop into my head
and wood paneled sides....

space station wagon...
Very 1970's. I know, I lived through it, lol

It is indeed as is on the original model. I like your reasoning as to what they are :bolian:

Plans moving forward:
  • More work to do on the Phase II Constitution, some missing details to add, and I think I am going to build a hangar bay as well.
  • The Phase II Shuttle is going to have some more stuff added to it, I'm going to finish the sensor mast on top and add a forward phaser package on the forward underside hull as well as some other details.
  • Might be interesting to see what a Phase II Saladin and Ptolemy look like, as well as any other TOS classes I put together (maybe both a TOS USS Kelvin and a Phase II USS Kelvin). This is an era of Trek that's often overlooked.
  • I did say a while back that I would do a modular starbase, orbital station type thing. Something to play with after.

More soon, likely tomorrow.

Looks good.

The tractor beam will burn out. Why? Because it will be Tuesday...

Also I would put Chekov on her.

The Aurora, that is after making sure that the Aurora was like totally cleaned up.

Some of the Hippies of the 1960s had hygiene problems.

Also drug abuse...

Also I would restock her as well. The equivalent to MREs.

@knightgrace

Please.

Try to make more sense. Why? Because half the time I’m not able to derive any clear meaning from your posts.

Just throwing out some random, seemingly unrelated, incoherent thoughts is just not cutting it in the long run.

I mean, there’s mysterious and enigmatic, and maybe even creative and interesting.

But then there’s also frustratingly non-sensical, low-effort gibberish.

And at least to this reader your posts unfortunately more often read like the latter rather than the former.

So again, please don’t treat every post as some haiku writing challenge for everyone else to decipher. Please try to make it more obvious what you are communicating.

Maybe even just post like a normal poster every once in a while.

Thank you.
