Talldude... talk about sticking the landing! I did not see that ending coming, even as it was already starting. Then when the three white circles appeared, it hit me like a ton of bricks. Well timed. Well done.

I had the opening and the closing in my head for so long it was amazing to see it happen. And even more gratifying to see that it landed with someone. Thank you!

A few months ago I was chatting with my best friends Matt and Mike (whom I met in 1991 while standing in line for Star Trek VI!) about these blueprints as the fiftieth anniversary was approaching. Mike said that when he was ten years old some bullies at school stole his set of plans only weeks after he bought them. He hadn’t seen the blueprints for almost fifty years.

A couple of weeks later, we’re sitting in the living room and Matt walks in and puts a small box in front of his husband. Take one guess what was in the box: a never-opened, mint condition set of the FJS Constitution blueprints.



In the 34 years I’ve known Mike, I have never once seen him cry. Well, that streak was broken with Matt’s thoughtful (and frickin expensive!) surprise gift.

I showed Mike your latest video tonight. I think I may have seen a glint in his eye. He loved it. Great job, Tallguy!

I ran out of time to finish this on Franz Joseph Schnaubelt's birthday (not even CLOSE) so I figured I'd push to get it done for Star Trek Day. I totally forgot that this was exactly the 40th anniversary of buying MY blueprints (yes, the ones in the video). I know I even made a note of the day in my first post, but I had somehow forgotten. So... Win!
