Agreed..
And another thing I hate...all this anti-TITANIC crap. The movie nearly makes 2billion, in 1998 or whatever. And now no one admits to liking it? Such bullshit, and proof that people just follow the trends years after the success of a movie. Simply because its cool to bash on the movie NOW.
Well...you don't make nearly 2billioin at the movies unless someone is seeing it more than once, and I mean a LOT OF someones, especially considering how old the movie is now.
Cameron did good..TITANIC is a good movie...

I loved Titanic. It's one of my favourite films of all time. It's a fantastic, amazingly crafted film. Fanboys hate it because their action God make a dramatic, romantic weeper and their little hearts just couldn't take it. The man who made Aliens made a movie with a Celine Dion song!?! NNNNOOOOOOO!
No please don't remind me I've been trying to forget about it.Someone posted that on a forum. It's a direct transcript of the first few minutes of his extremely long and boring "speech" at E3.![]()
Really? At times during the E3 press conference I thought he looked like a woman. And based on reading some of the comments in the chat I was in I certainly wasn't the only one.Cameron really has aged these last few years.
I'm surprised there's still no word on a trailer. My money would've been on attaching it to what I think will end up being the biggest movie of the summer, Transformers 2. Maybe Harry Potter? Comic-Con?Anyway, yeah - I look forward to a trailer.
In terms of epic romance films, TITANIC is better than GONE WITH THE WIND and CASABLANCA could ever hope to be.
I think in 20 years, when it's fashionable to hate a different brilliant film, more people will agree.

poster & writeup here:These banners are flying tall and proud throughout the city of San Diego, ready to greet fans with their winking cat-like eyes.
The new poster appears to show the face of Neytiri, the Na'vi warrior from the planet Pandora voiced by Zoe Saldana in the movie.
screenings will only be held in Digital IMAX locations and a few very large non-digital centers.
‘Avatar Day‘, a day (August 21, 2009) when select cinemas and IMAX® theaters around the world would screen extended footage of James Cameron’s Avatar
the trailer will also debut online that day, so it won’t be completely Avatar-less.
The tickets will only be available online, and the website will eventually reveal just how and where you get them.
For those of us who don't nab a golden ticket, there's still hope. An alternate, "conventional" trailer will be debuting the same time in 2D and 3D, and will play before Post Grad, Inglourious Basterds, and other summer and fall releases.
Apparently, even in the big cities where the 15 min. of footage will be screened, it won't be as easy as strolling in off the street. Tickets may be scarce. There is a contest being done by Rotten Tomatoes to attend one of the screenings in Australia:

I'm going to see if I can manage to get a ticket.
