James Cameron's Avatar movies discussion thread.

I'm excited to see this in 3D. I accidentally bought tickets to a 3D version of Captain America: Brave New World and it was so bad it made me miss movies filmed in 3D.

James Cameron says that ‘AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH’ will begin with a title card that says “no generative A.I. was used in the making of this movie”

I am hoping my 3D TV lasts long enough for the home video release, and they release Avatar 3 on 3D bluray. :techman:

I cannot wait to see what James Cameron does with Avatar 3, and how the 3D is utilized. Avatar 1 is the reason I bought two 3D TVs since 2012. I have probably 100+ 3D blurays at this point, including every 3D Marvel release from Captain America through Deadpool & Wolverine. It's just a shame that the only way to get some of these and other 3D blurays these days is to import them. The first two avatar films are some of the best 3D films in my collection, and I can't imagine watching them any other way now.

I have a 3DTV too and a bunch of Blu-rays but I haven't bought anything in about 10 years .
There are a lot of great deals on 3D blurays now at most of the major online outlets, if it is still your thing. Some movies go for $5 - $20 and some newer releases are closer to standard bluray prices.

Most of the conversions now a days pale in comparison to the early releases and movies that were filmed using 3D cameras, but there are still quite a few gems out there.

It's also my favorite way to indulge in Kelvin Trek :bolian:
