I officially began my journey through all Star Trek on October 9th...

It's comparable to getting through the dirge of season three of VOY before you get the last third of it and all the good stuff.

Just had a look at what episodes were in S2 of ENT and it's either been too long since I watched any of them or they were largely forgettable as I can barely remember what happens them with a few exceptions i.e. "First Flight" and "Regnerations". I suspect it's the later though

Judgement gets a bit overly-dramatic at the end there with Martok wanting to stay on the prison planet.

A better captain would've told him to feck off with the whining and get a move on
You fecking betch. You do not get to tell me when I leave basically a death sentence at my age and level infirmity! :klingon: ...now, how do I add drag makeup to this emoji?

Yeah be warned, in the short time you have left in season 2 it gets worse before it gets better. The next few are among the series low points. Generic boring Trek episodes with at least one seemingly based on the twisted kinks and fetishes of Brannon Braga. Not quite to the levels of ick of some of his prior masterpieces, but ick nonetheless.

You then get a grouping of desperate ratings bait episodes that got heavy promotion in an attempt to draw back viewers. Voyager did this a few times. You will know them when you see them. They actually aren't bad for what they are.

The season finale The Expanse is the highpoint. It sets up Season 3. And season 3 is where things start to vastly improve.

Well, sort of the way your gangrene problem vastly improves when you have your infected leg amputated.

Did you watch nemesis yet? I feel like you should have but I don't remember seeing that post.

I think Cogenitors message is change is hard, don't interfere in things without fully understanding it.

Oh... and then one episode later they bring back the Borg :barf:
Outside of the cheesiness of bringing back the Borg in a prequel, they did it in the best way possible by making them survivors from the First Contact sphere wreckage.
That limited them severely so they wouldn't roflstomp Earth, but they still were a major threat and pretty creepy.
It was a bucket list episode, but one of the better ones.

It completes a moebius loop... kinda.

The retconned a couple of times when and how the Borg learned of the Federations/Earth's existence.
I found it kind of neat that the Borg of First Contact still had bad consequences in the end.
Makes Data look a bit sloppy for failing to mention, that the sphere wreckage was still on Earth before returning to the future, which might cause a problem.
Or he actually was aware of the Borg's role down the line and didn't mention it to preserve the time line.

Were they trying to make some thinly-veiled statement about women's rights?

Probably the preachiest episode of ENT yet, and that's saying A LOT. Cogenitor just had no redeeming qualities, I don't know what message it was trying to send with that ending.

Don't fight for the rights of others? I guess? That's inspiring.

They had a good premise and a promising first 35-40 minutes. Then the ending hits like a wet noodle.

I tend to view Cogenitor as yet another of Brannon Braga's extra special mental "Letters to Penthouse" with an ethical dilemma bolted on. Notice how often he comes up with weird sexual or reproductive subjects. Does anyone else worry that he might own a late model windowless van and a small poodle named precious?

I assume this post was referring to the Borg and T'Pol Pon'farr episodes?

Yeah... I see what you mean.

Those were the heavily promoted ratings bait Cogenitor was our most recent Brannon Braga reinventing how to insert tab A into slot B episode. Although it isn't quite as icky this time as he leaves the details to his twisted imagination.
