Geordie's wife and kids in "All Good Things" vs. "Picard"

By the time of DS9 she had changed her name and lost 60 pounds.

If "Leah" wasn't hiding from Geordie, she was hiding from someone.

Of course, there is another Brahms in the lore, who often changed their identity and appearance.

That’s probably besides the point, but I always found it super silly that they would make Leah Brahms his wife in the “All Good Things …” future. Just seems kinda weird after she had already rejected him in the earlier episode. If this was some wish fulfilment dream scenario for La Forge, then sure, make her Leah Brahms. But if this was supposed to depict the “actual” or likely future, I think it’s silly that it’s supposed to be Brahms.

And while I do think they intended for the Leah he mentions to Picard to be the Leah Brahms we know, I also think it’s easy to imagine that his wife just coincidentally happens to also be called Leah.

I have never bought Tapestry OR All Good Things as actual time travel, just more Q bubble-universe simluations. In this way, Leah makes sense. Maybe Q knew what he was going to name his kids, or knew that he had a like for those names, somehow.

Who wears a twin cinnamon bun hairstyle.
'Friends ' fan? ;)

Actually, have seen them but a long, long ,long, time ago in a galaxy far away from there - and it was here. Queen Amadala sucks and had the charisma of cardboard sounds like some one you would go to school with on earth.

Was going to start a new thread about Sidney. But might be better better of here.
Its implied she has this strained relationship that she became a pilot and helmsman and not an engineer. I didn't get that as Geordie was also the helmsman in s1 of TNG. Surely that mirror his career?

Yeah that didnt make sense. Also when Picard took command of the rebuilt D Geordi went right to his place at the helm. He should be proud of sidney. Shes following in his path.

Good point!

In fact, Geordi met a lot of nice women during the years in which we followed him and the other Enterprise crew members. So why would he marry the one who basically treated him like crap?

I disagree on this. Leah did not treat Geordi like crap. She was understandably pissed to find out that there was a holographic version of her that Geordi had kissed. But other than that she was completely professional and friendly to him. She just wasn’t interested in getting to know him romantically, but that’s not “treating him like crap”, unless you think all women should always be romantically available for men who desire them. Also, they very clearly parted ways as friends, with her forgiving Geordi for what she had seen on the holodeck. How is that treating him wrong? Just how should she have treated him, I wonder?

In The Next Generation Companion book, the writers of the episode say that Geordi's future wife was initially meant to be Aquiel, but they went 'Nah' and changed it to Leah instead.
