Also used in Short Treks as part of the filler style before more shows were being produced. Sets are built very well but always expected to be dismantled.Okay I've done 2 minutes of actual research and it seems like you're right. Though that Enterprise bridge was built pretty damn sturdy for a set that was only going to appear in two episodes...
Possibly. That would be an interesting take on things.about connecting to Calypso.. was it confirmed that Calypso takes place in the Milky Way? If not, it could be conceivable that it’s set in the extremely far future after Discovery has colonized a different galaxy. If they wanted to, they could make it work
^Calypso main character was familiar with V’draysh/ Federation.
Agree, I just hope the producers don't think thousands of fans are somehow 'expecting' of hoping for a follow-up to Calypso.... While I love Calypso, it no longer makes sense anymore; when we saw Zora's dreams in ...But To Connect, I think they should have shown a tiny bit of Calypso, so we could do away with it as a dream of Zora...making calypso fit into the show proper is a mistake, just let it be a nice short
Well they did mention that the destruction if 10C's planet happened around 1000 years ago - so roughly Archers's time - which also ties into Discovery waiting for almost 1000 years in Calypso. I wonder if the 10C are so desperate, that they are unwilling to stop the mining, hence Disco needing to time travel to stop the devastation from occurring in the first place. That would raise the question why a Civilization so advanced would need Disco to time travel. Something, something spore drive.
Calypso was set at an unspecified point 1000 years in the future not in the past. Hence why there were references to the V'draysh (which was confirmed to be the Federation) and their interest in ancient earth media.
My feeling is that calypso stemmed from an initial, different idea of how the Discovery crew was going to travel to the future and what that future held, (ie: a federation that hadn't been decimated by a disaster but one that had become expansionist and totalirarian.) But that idea obviously changed.
I think the closest we'll get to calypso is Zora. Discovery is firmly rooted in 32nd century now.

So do I, I want them to be truly "Professional, Prepared, & Competent". Is that too much to ask?Man, I want to watch this Trek that follows procedure and nothing bad happens.
