Spoilers General Disco Chat Thread

Is that your only criteria for watching a show? You can't watch a show just because it's good or looks interesting, you'll only watch it if it "adds anything to the franchise"?
I was just asking a general question because I'm uncertain. Obviously, I will determine if a show is "good" or not, regardless of recommendation. Take the show Lexx for instance, I'd put that forth as one of the most unique sci-fi fantasies ever, but somebody else will disagree. That's fine.

Looking forward to SNW, Picard S2 and S3 of Lower Decks. Still haven't watched Prodigy. Is it worth it? I mean, does it actually add anything to the franchise?
I think so. Some of the characters can be a bit cutesy and irritating at first because ultimately it is a show that's more aimed towards kids, but they all have a well-done character arc they're undergoing and all of them progress and grow as time goes on to where they make an effective team by the end. And the ensemble cast does a great job with the voice acting.

The CGI and production design, music, animation, world building, etc. is all top-notch.

It's hard to describe things without being spoilery, but I think the season one finale came to a satisfying conclusion and didn't make me feel like I was wasting my time with a bunch of filler and a lackluster finale like so many other shows (not Trek, just in general) do when I reach the conclusion of the season.

I think it's worth your time and adds a great deal to the franchise.

Do you ever wonder about google sometimes?

Yikes. They could have gone with the actors playing Book, Bryce, or Christopher, but yeah...

I'm hoping it's some confusion stemming from the "Michael" given name skewing the search results or something. People mistakenly thinking the character is a man because of the name and searching accordingly.

Hugh is a boring character. He doesn't seem to have an identity of his own without Stamets.

Amazing how people can disagree on things... Hugh has always been a favorite of mine, and I think that in his new 'councelor'-role, he's become even more relevant and interesting to the story..! And Wilson Cruz is just an amazingly kind man, and it shows through the character he plays..!
