Spoilers Game of Thrones - Season 7

Nope. This is people seeing what they want to see.
Sorry, you're wrong about this. There's been several points where you can tell the wheels are turning in Jaime's head. He's starting to see how unhinged she's become. He's now suspicious about why the Maester was visiting her, and with good reason. It's his extreme love for her that is preventing him from putting an end to it. That will change at some point. Particularly when he finds out what the Maester is up to.

Right, while we're on the subject of predictions, Bran has been (literally) sitting on his ass and not giving any helpful or useful information to anyone this whole season (except possibly off-screen sending Benjen to save Jon). What are the odds that he'll finally say something in the finale, screw up Littlefinger's Arya/Sansa scheme, maybe snitch on Cersei's treachery plans?
I suspect he's been doing things behind the scenes to get people to go where they're needed. For instance, I'm pretty sure that he helped Arya to decide to go north to Winterfell rather than south to Kings Landing. I'm not sure about that but I think it's likely. He knows that information can travel both ways through his visions. I don't think that fact was illustrated several times for no reason at all.

The only thing about that, is, several of their altercations happened without him being present nearby to witness, more especially the most recent one where Arya got really weird and gave Sansa LF's blade. That thing, honestly, has been passed around more times than a 5-copper Fleabottom hooker.
I think she was doing that intentionally to see where Sansa runs to. She knows that Sansa is confiding/afraid of someone but not sure who. Presumably she'll follow Sansa and find out. I think Littlefinger's time is very limited!

That all sounds a little too straight forward. And, if there's one thing you can say about Game of Thrones is that "straightforward" usually doesn't apply! I think there will be a few wrinkles in that sequence! For instance, I'm pretty sure that a good chunk of Kings Landing and Dany's forces are going to be destroyed. Perhaps even in the season finale. I even think there's a chance that Dany's herself will be killed.

For that last bit, I might be reading too much into Tyrion's "all is lost if you die" stuff, but it makes me think that they're setting her up to die. Tyrion and Jon could ride the two remaining dragons.

I usually would agree but since season 6 the show has become pretty straightforward. Many main characters have been in serious trouble and are still around (in seasons and books past characters died who were thought to be in much safer circumstances) and some situations have been solved in a very heroesque Hollywood way.

However there is still one season left (and this season's finale) and much can still happen, especially when all characters converge and take up arms against the White Walkers.. there surely will be some deaths amongst secondary characters and even one or two main characters may die until it is all over.

I'm also curious what happened to Craster's sons. They made such a big deal about them in the first two to three seasons and then nothing after that. Are we meant to believe that once they were turned they were age-accelerated, becoming the NK's "generals"? Seems to be yet another dropped thread in favor of story expediency.

Maybe, maybe not. Even if there is some White Walker daycare and creche out there somewhere, what we saw in the last episode indicates that killing the Night King will remove the magic from all he turned or were turned in-turn. That means when he's destroyed, so are they.

I don't think Dany will get the throne, or at least not have it very long. The Brotherhood without Banners is likely to be the new democratic ruling group after the monarchy is gone.

I doubt the monarchy is going anywhere, and the Brotherhood is down to Beric, and he's on his last life...

Even if there is some White Walker daycare

They probably just put the kids in drawers, kinda like Borg babies on Star Trek. :D

I suspect that we're being lulled into a false sense of security right now. I'm guessing that there is a Red Wedding type shakeup coming up soon. Perhaps even in the season finale. My guess is that Cersei is rigging Kings Landing to be the ultimate Poisson Pill. That's pretty much the only strategy still open to her.

Even if that's not the case. I think there will be a major shakeup before we see the survivors converge to take on the White Walkers. I'm thinking it will be the Brotherhood who actually lead the charge.

Yes or no, was the fire burning on the ground that the Night King walked through and extinguished created by the dragons? That was literally all I said. Not that it didn't cool down significantly since being created (but still burn way hotter than normal flames that soon after ignition), not that he could survive a direct hit from dragon fire intact, just that the original source was from a dragon and therefore quite a bit hotter than normal flames (though to burn people to ash in seconds we're talking nuclear blast level temperatures that cool quickly and significantly enough for Dothraki riders to quickly jump though it a minute later).

Again, at no point did I say the Night King could survive a direct hit from a dragon. We don't know that yet. He can survive slowly walking through the flames about a minute later though, and can extinguish them.
Yes, and at THAT point, it is not dragon fire but regular fire. No I don't agree that it is burning hotter at that point. It isn't, as it is running on regular old wood.

No, this isn't "literally" all you wrote. You ALSO wrote:

"he can walk through fire and extinguish the flames by mere proximity to them, including dragon fire, which is much hotter than normal flame, able to burn men to ash in seconds."

If this does not mean he can walk through and extinguish dragon fire, what does it mean? I give you my word as an editor, that in common English, as you have phrased it, that that is exactly what you wrote means. But if not, then what did you mean by "including dragon fire" (an adjectival participle phrase modifying the noun "flames" and that is informing what kinds of flames so as to emphasize one, in this case dragon fire) following the independent clause that begins "he can walk through fire..."?

If what you wanted to write was that the Night King can walk through flames ignited by dragon fire and presently burning in some other substance(s), and that this is significant because these flames are somehow hotter than ordinarily ignited flames, eg a flame started by a torch, burning in the same fuel, then we'll have to disagree there.

I'd have let this die a while ago, but you keep insisting that somehow I have misinterpreted your original post. I have not. I have read it according to normal rules of English grammar and punctuation and so interpreted it. As written, it means the Night King can walk through and extinguish dragon fire. That is what it means, according to any reading in English. It isn't a big deal, but this is my livelihood, and I know what I am talking about.

I'll pack my answer in Spoilercode because it touches on the Finale trailer.

In the trailer we see the entire military power of Dany assembled before King's Landing.. Grey Worm's Unsullied, the Dothraki behind them and a short also shows what's left of Theon's fleet (facing the massive fleet of Euron), we don't see the Dragons i think but i'm sure they're present too.

So Cersei basically has nothing to bargain with.. a simple command by Dany and King's Landing is razed to the ground and the remaining forces free to march north against the White Walkers.

That summit in King's Landing is a gracious act on the side of Dany to resolve the situation without unnecessary bloodshed (fat chance with Cersei :p) and maybe convince them all of the coming army that was until then in the realms of fairy tales and legends.

Can't wait to see the finale and who fucks it up so everybody starts pulling swords ;)

I think Dany is being suckered into a trap here. Cersei has absolutely no compunction about using Dany's better nature against herself. Dany's forces are concentrated which also makes them vulnerable. I think Dany loses a huge amount of her forces. Cersei is devious. It reminds me of the time she was held by those religious nuts. She had no alternative but to appear to play by their rules but all the time was planning their total destruction.

That's what she is doing here. I'm guessing that she's mining the area with dragon fire but there may well be other components to her trap. I think the season closes with the destruction of large portions of Dany's forces, Kings Landing, and possibly even Dany herself. Cersei may or may not survive but will have minimal forces even if she lives. I'm guessing that the next season is about the surviving remnants converging together to face the White Walkers without any banners.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if things get very ugly for the reasons you stated. Plus, we haven't had a major character death in a long time (Thoros and Viserion don't really count in that regard).

I just hope that Tyrion remembers his own strategy in defense for King's Landing and warns Daenerys about the prospect of Wildfire being hidden either in the water or the surrounding lands. Speaking of which, I wonder if he knows what his sister did to the Sept of Baelor.

I suspect that there will be more to Cersei's treachery. Just repeating the wildfire trick from before seems a bit unoriginal for Cersei. But, I don't know what else there would be. It could be wildfire outside of the city perhaps. Or, something else in addition to wildfire. I do think she'll be a bit more strategic than the Mad King and instead of total destruction of Kings Landing might go with a strategic mining. Or, possibly she'll use wildfire as a feint that leads them into a different trap--using Tyrion's expectations against him (if he does know) just like Jaime did earlier. Regardless, I do think the end result will be pretty dire. I also wonder if this would trigger Jaime to kill Cersei?

Saw a bunch of spoilertags in a row and feared for a second that the finale had leaked... :D

The people that I noticed who will be in the summit: Jamie, Cersei, Tyrion, Jon, Jorah, Brianne, Davos, Theon, Podrick. Notably not shown is Dany. This has created online speculation that maybe she dies somwhow and won't make it. But a more likley explanation is that they decided not to trust Cersei and let Tyrion and Jon do the negotitaion. Or maybe she is there but just not shown on the trailer.

I also wonder if Cersei finds out about the dead dragon or not. Is she crazy enough to consider an alliance with the Night King, assuming such a thing is even possible (does he talk?).

1. The armies are outside of the Dragon Pit, not in front of Kings Landing.
2. Dany isn't there because she's going to make a spectacular entrance on a Dragon, like Dragon Queens are required to do.
