FOX: Sleepy Hollow - Season Discussion

You know whom I'd like to see in a future episode? John Rhys-Davies. Maybe he could play a relative of Ichabod Crane's. I almost see a "familial" resemblance between Rhys-Davies and Tom Mison, and both actors have very good voices. It would've been interesting to see JRD play Henry/Jeremiah on the show.

I'm always happy to see John Rhys-Davies.

I just read that the headless horseman won't be in the new season. They might as well just cancel the show now.

I don't mind not having Headless/Abraham, we got plenty of stuff with him over 2 seasons, so I say we move on to new stuff. There were plenty of episodes without him, and lots of other monsters and baddies, so I don't see why the show would need him.

Thanks, RDJ. I didn't know that. :)

As for the absence of the Headless Horseman, I'm sure there'll be plenty of other supernatural villains. You would think the Horseman should be Ichabod's trademark nemesis, but even Henry proved to be the more sinister threat.

i think moving away from the Headless Horseman is best...for now. despite how disappointing season 2 was i'm looking forward to season 3. of all the Revolutionary era personalities i wish they'd do something with James Madison on SH. he is always overshadowed by Jefferson, Adams and Franklin.

No problemo.

I'm fine with the lack of Headless. He wasn't really Headless for a while anyway. And the show really has nothing to do with "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" aside from the recycled names, so it doesn't really matter.

Yes, the ties to the Revolutionary Era is my favorite aspect of the show aside from the Abbie-Ichabod relationship. The more they play that up, the better I like it.

What an odd concept. One is a supernatural show; the other is a police procedural(?). Wouldn't that be like having a CSI-The Vampire Diaries crossover?

I suppose it will have to be done in some coy way so that the lives and belief system of the Bones characters aren't turned upside down. Except for Hodgins, who KNEW IT ALL ALONG!

I'm always happy to see John Rhys-Davies.

Nope, that only shows up in the posts, not on the actual thread title.
Bummer. Guess we do need a Mod.

Both have FBI agents in them, that's how they will do it.

think you're missing the problem.

That Bones is still on the air? I'm not missing that problem at all, it's a huge problem. :p

Here is the official run down of the episodes...

On Bones, the grisly discovery of human remains lead Brennan and Booth on a hunt for clues, during which they encounter Ichabod Crane and Abbie Mills, searching for answers of their own. Realizing that they are after the same evidence, they team up to solve the mystery.
Then, immediately following on Sleepy Hollow, the intrigue continues as Ichabod’s old nemesis is back from the dead. Ichabod and Abbie need advanced forensic help and expertise to stop him and turn to Brennan and Booth to unlock 18th century secrets using 21st century science.

The problem is reconciling the sudden introduction of magic and mysticism into the Bones setting.
