Favorite AND least Favorite Female Character?

UnipolarUnicorn

Ensign
Newbie
I have been analyzing the women of Trek as of late. Considering the male to female ratio in the franchise is rather to one side, I have been wondering who people consider their favorite and least favorite female character and also why? Please share any opinions you may have! Also, preferably a reoccurring female unless you absolutely cannot think of one! Thanks!

Favorite: Emperor Georgiou

Least Favorite: I don't think I have one. At least not one that's coming to mind. At some point, the day after I post this, someone will pop up and I'll think "Oh yeah!" but I can't think of anyone right now. I don't have a problem with Pulaski or Nachayev, who are some of the most common choices. And, even though some people don't like her, I think Winn makes for a compelling villain.

Favourite. Troi, but not regular troi, Troi unleashed, the manipulative conniving Troi we see occasionally.

Least favourite, Kes.

No, Seven of Nine. Probably. Maybe Kira.

Favourite: Kira (no nonsense power figure but still with some issues), Janeway (same).

Least favourite : 7 of 9 (too much of a cliché after Data's, and the EMH 'discovering humanity'arcs. Nothing to do with the actress though, she did a fine job with the material she was given, it's merely the character I don't like that much), Jadzia (pretty, but somehow I couldn't feel sympathy for her), Lwaxanna (though she was supposed to be annoying and even she had her moments).

Favorite: Dr. Katherine Pulaski and Ezri Dax. Both characters were likable and charismatic, and each had chemistry with the other cast.

Least Favorite: Nurse Chapel and Jadzia Dax(wisecracking Klingon fangirl Dax from seasons 4-6 specifically).

Star Trek has given actresses strong guest roles to play over the years. Carolyn Seymour comes to mind. She played a Romulan twice on TNG plus one of the enlightened aliens in First Contact, and I enjoyed each of her performances.

I enjoyed Ellen Geer's perfomance as the obsessed scientist in Silicon Avatar(TNG).

Who could forget Nancy Parsons(from Porkys) appearing as Sovereign Marouk on The Vengeance Factor(TNG).

"You people haven't changed in a hundred years!"
"You should know; you were there!"

^Another amazing guest actress was Gail Strickland, who played the anti-technology fanatic in Paradise(DS9). I thought her character was one of Sisko's most formidable adversaries.

My favorite is not a main character, but she was recurring, & influential. K'ehyler. It don't get much better than her imho, & I wish, more than any other character, that she'd been able to be around more

Least favorite... Well, I tend to struggle to get through a lot of Voyager episodes, but that battle goes up tenfold any time Naomi whatsherface is in one. Granted, I haven't seen that many

Favorites: Ezri, Ziyal, Burnham, Tilly, Captain Georgiou, Kehleyr, Anne Mulhall, Uhura (Zoe Saldana), Jaylah, Gillian (TVH), Ro Laren

Least Favorites: Troi, Crusher, Emperor Georgiou, Kes, Lursa and B'Etor, Janice Lester, the Orion women from ENT (Navaar, something and something)

Naomi Wildman is pretty much the only child character in any tv show that I actually like. But to each their own.

Favourites: Janeway and Seven.
Least favourites: Kes. I’m also not too fond of Jadzia or Kira but I haven’t finished DS9 yet so maybe I’ll change my mind.

Seconded. Didn't think of her as I only considered regulars, but it was nice to see a well-integrated Klingon-human hybrid for a change... much more so than Worf (ok, no hybrid, but a cultural hybrid still), or later, B'Elanna. Or at least superificially more so, she still had her own issues to work through.... besides, she would have made a great companion for Worf! Really a pity she wasn't used more.

Favourite is Torres

Least favourite is 7 of 9

I just felt like she got way too much screen time for someone who came late to the show

Favorite is easily Kira Nerys.

Not totally sure I have a least favorite. Seeing as it's not restricted to main characters, there are so many to choose from, I wouldn't even know where to start or what criteria to use.
