How do you rate Deadpool & Wolverine?

As somebody that really enjoyed the first two Deadpool movies, what made Deadpool and Wolverine special for me wasn't just because of Wolverine but because of how it called back to the Marvel movies of when I was a kid and teenager and in college (although I didn't see Blade until after the first X-Men movie, given its rating) and made a point of integrating some of those characters into its story and closing them out.

And just like the first two Deadpool movies using absurd humor and ridiculous hijinks to counterpoint deep, deep pain.

Logan's explosion to Wade before their second fight was a damned good exchange and deeply, deeply vicious.

I'm just so happy that there are people on the internet that will do their best to remind me that I am supposed to dislike the movies and shows that I like because of..... Well very important and true reasons that I would never understand if they weren't repeated every three posts.

The internet truly is a blessed space.

Anyway I thought Deadpool and Wolverine was fucking amazing and if others didn't than that's fine by me. I really don't see why I should make them feel otherwise.

Anyone who thinks Iron Man wasn't loaded with whimsical humor hasn't actually seen the movie.

As I said in my last post. Whimsical humor is fine in the MCU. Complete stupid humor isn't. I get that people like it but the first batch of movies were never this ridiculous. Again it's more like Green Acres then say something like Frasier.... 😂

Who told you what to like or dislike? I will kick them for you. 😂

Have you seen Deadpool 1 and 2? This one in very much in keeping with those. Their humor is a bit different than the rest of the MCU.

Sure, Jan. If there was no buzz or word of mouth it would have tanked. Same for D&W. If trotting out old favorites translated into box office, The Flash would have been a hit.

The Flash didn't bring back the Batman more were familiar with, like Christian Bale.

Who told you that you shouldn't like it?

Happiness can hurt.

Yes I did. I didn't want to see this one. But my friend dragged me to it. I wanted to see Alien Romulus. I told him I just don't care for the Deadpool movies. I gave him my reasons why. He had already seen it and said it's not what I think. So i reluctantly went. He was disappointed/surprised I didn't care for it ... 😂

Your friend should have gone to Alien Romulus with you. If you didn't like DP1 or DP2 no amount of Hugh Jackman would make you like this one. In the words of Bug Bunny "He don't know you very well, do he?" 😂

You probably don't live in Michigan, I'd go with you lol. I will probably end up seeing it by myself at at matinee. :(

I'm surprised to see in that article there are people actually criticizing his Cajun accent, as I too thought it was meant to be intentionally bad. Primarily because I remember when Tatum's Gambit movie was originally announced, one of the common concerns I remember hearing was "can he do a convincing Cajun accent?" which I assumed him doing a terrible one here was a joke in response to those concerns.
