The dream has finally become the reality.

Deadpool and Wolverine, together at long last.

Shenanigans will be had.

Fourth walls will be obliterated.

Cameos will probably be gratuitous.

The raunchy humor will undoubtedly be dialed up to 11.

And hopefully far, far too much fun will overwhelm us like a tsunami.

Despite my issues with the raunchy humor and some of the excessive gore of the first two films, I do hope that I will enjoy the most of this film (although I'm already cringing at Dogpool but I know that's a Me Problem).

As for the cameos, Laura Kinney is probably the one I wanted the most and we already know she's definitely in it. I just hope it's more than just one scene. The only other cameo that I desperately want is She-Hulk. I need a fourth-wall-smashing face-off between Wade and Jen.

I'll be seeing the film Friday morning and I know others are seeing it soon (or already have), so I'll see y'all on the flip side!

Let's. Fucking. GO.

Thanks to @The Nth Doctor for making the grade and discussion thread.

I enjoyed the film a lot. It does lean a little too much into what seems like fan service and it was less about the characters and more about making dreams become a reality. For a movie with Wolverine in the title it's pretty light on his story. The cameos are I think what you might expect with a few exceptions.

Blade

Tobey

It's not amazing. It's definitely no Infinity War or Endgame. It's a bit all over the place, not as tight as Deadpool or Deadpool 2. Definitely about the eye candy with this movie and it's a big farewell to Fox movies.

I'll never understand why people insisted on a charisma vacuum like Channing Tatum playing Gambit. What do they see in the guy?!

It was pretty good. Not as funny as I thought it was going to be. My favourite cameo was the “new” Wolverine. That made me pop. It’s a shame Fox’s Daredevil wasn’t there to complete the set.

I voted B+, as I was trying to take an objective position on it. I enjoyed it a lot more than that grade might sound, but it’s not a film I’d recommend to people who aren’t into comic book movies in general and the DP movies
in particular. If you are into those and if you like Ryan doing his shtick, then you will have a lot of fun with it, like I did. If you aren’t - then skip it.

As I’m assuming most of the people reading this thread are in the pro-camp, RR has some great lines as does Hugh, they spark off each other brilliantly, it’s gloriously gory and the fight scenes will have you wincing and laughing simultaneously.

The plot and story make next to no sense and bear zero thought being applied but it’s just really an excuse for them to riff off each other and for some cameos, some of them well-signposted and a few that came as a complete surprise to me

.
Loved the shortarse Wolvie and the Henry Cavill one. The Channing Tatum one seemed to take a lot of people in the cinema by surprise (and confusion) but it was nice that after all those false starts he finally got to play the role; a bit like Nic Cage in The Flash. Loved Elektra’s blasé response to DD’s death and the Chris Evans as Jonny Storm one pulled the rug nicely on us all. But my favourite was Wesley Snipes as Blade, particularly as DP had earlier done a variation on his “cock juggling thundercunt” line from Blade 3 at Hugh’s expense. And even through DP’s mask, we all got the joke about “there’s only one Blade” or whatever the line was.

Just saw the movie with my wife and we loved it! Toby's Spiderman would have been perfect but you can't have everything

In regards to what seems to be everyone's favorite cameo

Blade's kick ass sword?

And even through DP’s mask, we all got the joke about “there’s only one Blade” or whatever the line was.
It was something like "there will never be another Blade movie" and Deadpool's look like "yeah Disney, don't see that Blade movie". It works both ways honestly and I think it's played to be interpreted either way too.

It never really occurred to me that Toby or any other Spider-Man might appear; we got a great return and possible send off for him and Andrew in NWH, while the Spider-verse movies got to show any number of Spider variants. It’s kinda their thing.
I 100% think he and Andrew will be back for Secret Wars or Avengers 5. Quote me on it down the line to prove me wrong or right.

The Logan connection didn’t make much sense since that is supposed to be set in an alternate future where the mutants are more or less extinct. Unless his death was still in the future and it has a ripple effect

I guess maybe in subsequent re-watching once this hits Disney+ or whatever might be able to help me make more sense of the 'timeline' issues in this movie

So if Old Man Logan was the 'anchor being' holding Deadpool's timeline from unravelling, then is Deadpool's future the Old Man Logan timeline? Or is Old Man Logan's timeline the 'anchor' that has a bunch of other semi-related alternate timelines all branching off of it and surviving. In which case, is Old Man Logan the actual true Fox Mutants timeline?

Also if one being's existence is what determines the survival of a timeline, what being is 616/sacred timeline linked to? Or is it just possible for some being to achieve something so significant that they manage to stabilize an alternate timeline even if it was going to unravel?

Why are there so many Deadpools in the void compared to any other character? Is it their 4th wall breaking that makes them so dangerous so they're deliberately put there by the TVA?

With the end of the movie so the Fox universe has actually been 'saved'? Isn't there now *two* Wolverines in Deadpools universe? With an X-23 tossed in as well.

The movie definitely wanted to 'subvert' expectations. I think many thought we were going to see Deadpool come into the MCU's universe, but he didn't cross over to it. Also the whole idea the TVA was picking him up because of his time travel activities was just dismissed entirely by the Paradox.

I gaveit a B. I've fallen out of favor with the MCU since Gaurdians 3 but I liked this movie. It was a typical violent Deadpool movie that was sold on its self referencing parts. I had a good time.

People, how many young kids (let's say under 10) were there who saw the movie? When I saw it, definitely quite a few. I know it's rated 'R' in America, but here it was considered suitable for all ages...

I don't know why anyone expected Andrew Garfield or Tobey Maguire to appear because that would have required Sony's involvement.
because going forward
Tobey, Hugh, Ryan and Robert Downey will be the leads of Avengers 5 or 6
And that's how you rebuild the Roman Empire

Isn't that still up for debate? That Logan is or isn't part of the original X-Men timeline.

I know it's madness to find some time of logic, but the movie is set before the blip right?
