It's not intentionally bad or a terrible job. It's really really good, he just pushed up to 11 for humor.
So, I think this was asked before.....
But has any BTS reason been giving on why Blade never used his iconic sword from the movies?
I know that there are many copyright issues surrounding the design, because many companies started making wallhanger knockoffs to earn a few bucks, but I still assume that the ultimate design right for it still lie with the studios, right? And since having Wesley Snipes as Blade was ok, you'd think the sword would be as well.

I'm not sure about the comics, but in the movies Blade has the same sword. And it became quite a thing to collect for a while. Not real, ofcourse. Stainless steel, no tang.
But there was one company that was allowed to make the official version, with many cheap knock offs available as well. I can't imagine that company still owning the rights to the sword's image.
So it was a bit surprising to not see it in the movie.
The MCU is a lot of things. Isn't the first time it's done comedy. Way to Pigeon Hole a 16 year old franchise based on one film.
(And if all the films in the MCU were alike, there's no way it would have lasted this long or seen this level of success over such a long period.)
Obviously you didn't like what they did with this film outing, and that's okay. There are plenty of other MCU films coming out, and who knows they may actually make one in the near future that you actually like.

I don't mind whimsical stuff but all out slapstick silliness for an entire film or series is a big turn off for me. I miss the earlier MCU. I knew they were going to go down this rabbit hole. Smh

Not so far. We shall see. But one movie doesn't reverse the damage already done ..

Damage has most certainly been done in my eyes. The MCU was created by a robot named Kevin and She Hulk met him and rewrote her story. Daredevil was made a joke. The MCU has a Dumpling god in a spoon. They made the universe so cartoonie and silly there is no redemption imo.

The way Daredevil acts in She-Hulk is how he ACTUALLY acts in the comics, unlike Netflix which took that creatively bankrupt way out.

Both are pretty faithful adaptations. There have been decades of Daredevil comics, he wasn't the same all through-out.
