Corran Horn said they didn't recall it. I definitely remember Pierce saying it. Sitwell, I believe, did not, but it was said to him.

Sitwell arranges a Hydra squad that assist Agent Garrett in the show. He definitely working for Hydra.

Cult behaviour often looks "silly" to the outsiders. Until the guns come out from under the table.

This was much better than the first one.

Does anyone else think this is the way they should be portraying Clark Kent/Superman? The straight-arrow in a world increasingly grey and troubled?

I loved the first one but it seems like the second one has a nice mix of humor, drama, action and pathos.

The problem is that Superman literally has the power of a god to change things so we will then ask why not, Clark Kent gives us free will?. While even though they seemed to upgrade Captain America's capabilities since The First Avenger a sniper can take him out ass easily as he can take me out.

My only other problem with Captain America: The Winter Soldier:

No reprise of "The Star-Spangled Man (With A Plan)!"

Except Captain America seemed to take a bullet wound to the chest, from a "sniper" and survived it, so ...

A combination of armor and the serum allowed Cap to survive his bullet wounds.

I liked the film for the most part, but the overall plan.. using helicarriers to shoot targets (awww even bad ones) in cold blood is a bit absurd and stupid for a film that wanted a realistic, gritty tone. I don't think anyone could even get away with it if it happened. And, while our hero is stopping this plot, he could make sure that everyone knows about it..

yeah, it's as dumb as any other movie plot..

My favorite lines in the film were when Black Widow asked the Captain if that was his first kiss since 1945 and when she said "Bye bye bikinis". :guffaw:

I really enjoyed Black Widow in this film, she had a much bigger part than I initially thought she would. It does kind of make me miss Hawkeye, but the writers came up with a good reason why he wasn't included, so that's good enough for me.

With Chris Evans interested in retiring soon and now that we have Bucky reintroduced and on the road to remembering who he is, I hope that means they're setting it up for him to take over as Captain America. This seems the most likely especially since they have Stan on a 9 picture contract.

Realistic and gritty tone? Are you kidding? That went out the window the moment they introduced Gods and Aliens into the Marvel Universe. This is a comic book universe and it will play by comic book rules. Quite frankly I'm tired of dark and gritty, and that's why I love what Marvel is doing right now, because they are making comic book movies that feel like comic book movies.

No argument here.. I've been saying that all along about the MCU.

That said, with just "Winter Soldier" they were trying to make that film (on its own) a bit more grounded (at least for the first two-thirds of it.

Fair enough. I enjoyed the climax though I know my friend didn't (he really didn't like the part where The Falcon jumps from the building and lands safely inside Fury's helicopter).

To me the climax isn't all that different from any of the other MCU films. Being a comic book movie, at some point people are going to expect comic book style action and Cap trying to stop the three helicarriers definitely fits that bill.

To be fair, he did complain, that Fury didn't aim for the right floor. ;)

They only introduced aliens, albeit some were labeled gods by the Norse.

Aside from Black Widow's arrow necklace is there any mention of Hawkeye in the movie? I don't remember one.

No there's not. When I meant the writers came up with a good reason, it was done after the movie had come out. At one point they had a scripted line but it was either not shot or got cut before filming.

Basically the writers wanted to use Barton, and at one point had him in the film, but his part was so small it wouldn't have been any bigger than what he got to do in Avengers.

Here's a link to where I got my information from.
